Quietex ll Worked Great!
Quietex ll worked great for calming my horse that is real sensitive when it comes to shoeing one of his hind feet. No problem when I used Quietex ll paste.
I will certainly use it again! And I would recommend it to others.

worked like a charm
Took the edge off my paint without the "droopy" feel some calming supplements have. Perfect for my kids to show her.

Quietex saved my horse's life!
My horse was a complete nutcase. I was contemplating selling her because she was so much work to ride. She would spook at everything, jig, and just be jumping out of her skin at the walk. After using Quitex. I now take her out on trails all by myself, and she is an angel in the ring too. She is a pleasure to ride. Thank you Farnam for this great product!

Keeps my horse laid back!
My very active and workmanlike gelding played too hard with his friends and pulled a tendon - 3 months stall rest, which is like a jail sentence for him! This stuff keeps him even-keeled enough for well-mannered daily hand walking and has kept him from destroying his stall so far, one month into the stall rest. I hope it keeps working this well when the weather turns colder...

Worth a try
It is almost impossible to determine whether a calming supplement actually works as when using it, you don't know how the animal would have behaved without it. However, on some animals who show extreme sensitivity to many things, it is worth a try. During show season I use Quietex II because of the Valerian root along with raspberry leaf, Regumate, ear plugs and Ulcer Gard (only at shows). The mare seems to do better and be less sensitive so we continue to use all of this. Maybe we wouldn't need all of it but we are getting results.

Not Recommended for Mules!
We thought that this product may help our thoroughbred cross mule get along with the farrier a little, but it failed miserably. Knowing how hot blooded she tends to be, I increased the dosage to nearly double right out of the gate and gave it the recommended two hours to take effect. The farrier ended up flat on his back twice and my favorite saddle mule ended up with a nasty wound from the halter. I have since tried this product on a couple other gentle natured mules during intensive saddle training and it seems to have zero effect on there state of mind our level of anxiety.

I've used this before to help take the edge off when trailering or other stressful situations for my horse. It's enough to take the edge off and still help them be focused especially when going to new places. It also helps that it's all natural as well!

It seems to work very well as compared to similar products. The pellet form is a little more expensive than powders by other suppliers, but it mixes well with grain.

How long will the effect last?
Brigitte H on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: In my experience, it takes about 2-3 hours to kick in, and lasts about 12 hours - however, after my horse was on it for several months, it seemed to keep going evenly for 24 hrs when fed once per day. My horse was on stall rest for several months, and quieted seemed to make things bearable for him...
Does it work when hauling a very nervous horse alone? Going from FL to VA, just f driving 3-5 hrs & stopping for the night. Can't find another horse to go with him.
A shopper on Sep 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have used it before shows, it takes a slight edge off, but it is not a tranquillizer as such. if your horse is very nervous, I will work enough so he can be trailered and still keep his footing
How long will the effect last?
Brigitte H on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: not sure, maybe a couple hours then it begins to wear off. I only used it for a farrier visit, didn't really make any difference to two of my horses, but the third seemed almost sleepy she was so quiet
Considering the pellets. With 1 scoop a day how many days are in the tub?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I only use this when the vet or farrier is coming, so the tub lasts me a long time. But it works great.
It keeps my mare from being stressed out.
Does it work on show cattle?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: YES! We used it on our daughter's 4-H steer this year, and I also use it on our horses. It does make a difference!
How many doses are in the pellets container?
sarah d on Sep 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: not for certain, but my best guess would be close to 40.
How much can you give in one day?
