Contains a sunscreen which protects against both forms of the sun's harmful, UV rays. Water-based formula won't irritate even sensitive-skinned horses. • Water-resistant
  • 15 oz. size features a continuous spray design that can spray at any angle, giving uniform protection

Directions for Use:
Shake well before using. To protect horses from horse flies, house flies, stable flies, face flies, horn flies, deer flies, gnats, mosquitoes, lice and deer ticks that may transmit Lyme disease, thoroughly brush the horse's coat prior to application to remove loose dirt and debris. For dirty horses, shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Wait until coat is completely dry before applying.
Tri-Tec may be applied either as a spray or as a wipe. For horse's face, always apply as a wipe using a piece of clean absorbent cloth, toweling (Turkish) or sponge. Wear rubber glove or mitt when applying as a wipe. Spray or wipe horse's entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to ensure adequate coverage. Avoid getting spray into horse's eyes, nose or mouth. Application should be liberal for best residual results. Reapply every 5 to 7 days under normal conditions for initial applications. As protection builds, reapply every 10 to 14 days as needed. Also, reapply each time animal is washed or is exposed to heavy rain.

This is the best in my opinion. Has a higher percentage if insecticide than other leading brands. Plus it is not greasy. if you use it regularly for a few days you can skip a few & it still works.

June W on May 21, 2018
I have been using this product for many years and have found it to be the most effective water based spray. I have never had any horse or donkey have a reaction to this product.
Jill D on May 7, 2018
Seems to work well as a non-oil based fly spray. Smell is ok and it has sunscreen which I like for my mare. It doesn't last as long as it says so I have to use it daily when the flies are very bad.
Kathie S on May 5, 2018
Excellent product. I have tried them all, and although they only last a day or two, this is the best one on the market.

This product has good ratings from users for longevity and contains all 4 ingredients that make for good fly control. Our use prior to purchase was positive versus other brands we have tried. Price on State Line is the most affordable.

This product works well and has a more pleasant odor then the other fly sprays
Susan H on May 19, 2016
This is by far the Best Fly spray I have used and I have been loyal to this brand for many years. Dollar for Dollar it Works!!
It is so much less expensive to order it here than to purchase at any local supply store. I had to buy a bottle of the 32oz in a pinch when I ran out and it was $26.99.
Wendy E on May 10, 2016
Exceptionally effective . I stopped buying it when the price got out of reach. This one is a special treat for my horse.

My mare has a sensitivity to all the other fly sprays that Ive tried. Even the homemade ones with baby oil were a disaster. I found this..not only does it work great but she didn't get any hives...this is the only thing I buy for those pesky flies.
Davina S on Aug 7, 2015
One of the only fly sprays I've found with UV protection
Erik V on Aug 7, 2015
Tri-Tec works better than any of the other fly sprays I have tried over the past 30 years. It is expensive, but I don't have to re-apply constantly.

Can you use this on goats?
Lynn W on Apr 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Hi. I read the label and it only states for use on horses. The active ingredients are listed, but one is pyrethrin which is potent. I know goats have some "issues" with normal meds that other animals have no problem with, so I might try to find one with a label that states for goats, sheep, etc.... hope this helps.
Would this work on a horse with sweet itch? If not does anyone have any recommendations on what would work? Not looking to spend to much.
Nikki on May 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you mean does it treat sweet itch or can it prevent sweet itch. It is very effective as a fly repellent when used consistently. It is pricey, and worth it. It should be used before the gnats attack your horse and cause the itching/alllergic reaction. Cold baths and tea tree oil shampoo can soothe my horse whne he has reactions to fly bites, but the best thing is fly spray every single day and fly sheet.
