To try and help my horse??? He just has bumps and scaring all over, he just itches and itches, scratching on everything.

I initially bought Freedom 45 because it was safe to use on pregnant mares. I no longer have a pregnant mare but I continue to use it because it works.

I don't think most fly control products work the best but this does seem to help. I can tell when the 2 weeks is about over - the flies are worse then. My horses went crazy when I used a different spot on product that seemed to really irritate them. They don't react like that with this product even though the active ingredients are the same.

Freedom works great on horses with mid line dermatitis and summer sores
John M on Jan 20, 2014
Freedom was the first "top-spot" for horses on the market. Then it became much more expensive. In the meantime I found Fly-Rid which worked even better, and that's pretty much what I have kept buying. I buy the others occationally just in case the flies are losing sensitivity to Fly-Rid.

Is this safe for all equines?
A shopper on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have been using it for over 3 yrs, my oldest is 33. I do scant just a bit on application and leave about 1/2cc to rub on the belly (using a glove). Package says not to use on foals under 3 months, might call the co. if you have minis or small ponies. I absolutely LOVE this stuff, as do several of friends who have tried it.
Product package says it repels ticks. Product description does not mention ticks. Does it repel ticks?

BEST ANSWER: HI Pamela
Yes, Freedom 45 Spot-On repels ticks. I have been using it for over 10 years regularly on my 3 quarter horses. It is the best product for all over tick and insect protection that I have found. I use it every 2 weeks on my boys. One horse also had a raw belly every summer from the ‘midgies’ - those little flying insects- and it keeps him totally clear! I highly recommend this product!
