This is the product that most closely resembles my current bridle. I remember this brand to be a quality product for co-competitors. Hopefully that is proven right.

This Bridle is very functional and affordable, looks great, responds to cleaning and conditioning. The cob is a bit smaller than anticipated.

I was looking for a black bridle that came without a bit (I had my own), but it also looked pretty and well made. I had a price in mind that also fit in my range of affordability. The reviews were very positive, which ultimately sold me.

I have bought two of these bridles. Great bridle for a great price. Got the cob size for my large Arab gelding and bought the regular size for my very big boy Anglo-Arab. Fit beautifully. Topped them off with blingy browbands....look great!

I liked the look of it and it was about the only dressage bridle I found with a regular caveson noseband.

I have several Wintec articles, saddles, reins, bridles, and enjoy them all very much. I love that you can just hose them off! Janet

I purchased this bridle previously for another horse. It is great quality for the price and has worked very well. We have added a new horse to the family so I bought another one for him, too.

does this include reins?
A shopper on Jun 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does include reins. However, you should be aware that if you are trying to purchase the version of this bridle without the flash, that in order to have this bridle with the padded noseband only...the attached flash was merely cut off of it. You can look at the bottom of the noseband & see that's what was done! At least, that's what had happened to the one that was shipped to me. I guess that was standard procedure on a bridle in the "lower price range." I was disappointed.
Is it solid black ? It looks like it has white piping
Teresa B on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you everyone for your input. This bridle is available in two color options. As mentioned above, there is an option for black with white padding (noted by "BLK/WHT" color option), and there is an option for black with black padding (noted by "Black" color option).

I have a 15.2hh mare, w/blood x t/bred. A full size bridle is too long and noseband too big. Should I go for the cob size in this bridle (Henri De Rivel Dressage Bridle)?
tracy v on Nov 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi, Tracy. First, I love this bridle-great quality leather and construction at a good price. I have 2-both horse size that I use on my TB geldings who are 16.2 and 16.3. They fit perfectly, so I'd be surprised if the same size wouldn't fit your WB/TB cross. While my guys have fairly big heads (wear large horse halters) they have pretty faces with refined features so I like that the nose band isn't too wide like some dressage bridles. I also like that this bridle doesn't have a flash. Keep in mind this bridle has numerous buckles/holes so you can adjust for the best fit and even punch additional holes if needed. Good luck and hope this helps. Pam
I need a dressage bridle for my quarter horse mare. She has a broad forehead and small nose . What do you recommend?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I bought the warmblood size for my Lipizzan with a very big head. I have other bridles which don't fit her at all….too small over her forehead and far too big around her nose. I was very pleased with the way this fit her. The brow band is just right. The noseband has plenty of holes for adjustment. There are a total of 8 holes on the noseband. I use the 3rd one from the end, so I have 5 more to choose from. This is a lovely bridle and I am glad I bought it. I think that it is great value for the price. Mine is black.
does the nose band remove?
Pat C on Aug 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, sorry this has taken me so long.... ! In answer to your question, yes, the nose band can be removed; it attaches to a strap that goes up over the poll (so there is a double strap thickness there, when combined with the poll piece of the bridle). It just unbuckles, so, very easy to remove. This is a beautiful bridle, well made and soft leather. Any other questions let me know!
is the size horse the same as full?
azzaro on Nov 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the horse size is equivalent to a full size and will fit an average horse easily with plenty of room. I purchased the horse size for a Tennessee walker that is 15.2hands and has a longer than average head. The same bridle fit my 16.3 h Irish warmblood but the browband and noseband were more snug than I would prefer for long term use, so there is quite a bit of adjustment in these bridles. The 15 h FoxTrotter we have would require the Cobb size due to a more refined, pony type head.
Hope this helps.
How do I assemble this?
Gina K on Mar 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi there ! My trainer helped me assemble this over a year ago . I would have a hard time explaining this one . Maybe you tube could help . Just lay it all out flat and compare to your brdifle that you are using . Sorry I can’t help more
I have a twh with the classic twh head. Will the horse size of this bridle fit?
A shopper on Apr 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I obtained this model bridle to use on a warmblood with a rather large head, big jowl and thick muzzle. The bridle is quite adjustable, it fit my big girl and was able to be sized to fit my smaller Thoroughbred's head as well. I used to ride many different walking horses and cannot find a reason this should not fit.
I have been pleased with my purchase & the quality of the leather.
Check state line's return policy in case it doesn't fit your horse's head.
does the bridle adjust on both sides?
Pat C on Aug 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it does, I've had to punch a extra hole on both sides. Works great!
does the bridle adjust on both sides?
Pat C on Aug 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Adjustable on both sides with adjustable nose band and throat latch.
Size best for large breeds like friesians?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm using this on my Friesian and I bought the horse size. It fits him well, but he has a fairly fine head.

The throatlatch started out on the first or second hole, but has since stretched out a bit and is now on the third hole. If your horse has a large cheek, the throatlatch might be a bit short.

As Friesian head sizes can be quite variable, I would start with the horse size and exchange it for the warmblood size if it's too small.
I'm looking at this bridle for my TB cross and he is very narrow. I'm wondering if he needs the horse size or the cob size. Currently the western bridle he is in is horse sized, but on the next to last smallest hole. His face is slender, but not as short as a cob, so I'm not sure what size to get. Cob or horse size?
Leah D on Aug 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The way this bridle fits probably the regular horse size will do. The description of your horse sounds like my Ango Arab and it fit him beautifully. Cob size will definitely be too short. The Cob size fits my Purebred Arab that is 15.3hh. But both can wear a 16 inch browband. I like the solid black bridle with fancy browbands personally. Hope this helps!
can i buy just the throatlatch? i own this bridle but the throatlatch is too small for my cob
A shopper on May 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately the throatlatch is not available separately. A lot of times riders with this issue will either purchase a larger size and punch holes where needed, or combine two bridles.
Can you please tell me the sizes in inches of the brow bands on the horse and warmblood sizes?
D E on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Here is the link to all the measurements:
https://www.statelinetack.com/ContentFiles/Sizing_Charts/SLT900589.jpg
What is the width of the nose band. I have an OTTB that has a small refined nose? The last bridle I tried on him the width of the nose band was 1.5 inches, it was too bulky.
M V on Sep 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Item states Raised-padded 7/8" brow band and nose band.
