I liked the way it looked.

We were rebuilding stalls and looking for a great finish. Even my strong horse, he has broken out of everything, has not been able to break this latch.

can this be used on a fence panel?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2016
Best Answer: They attach with 6 screws to hold the main part in place. So if you have something to screw them to it would work however it has to be pretty level in the back for it to work. They are very sturdy and strong.

Can this latch be used on a sliding barn door?
Alli B on May 8, 2017
Best Answer: Although we haven't built the sliders yet, this is what I will use on each door. I've used them in the past at another barn and they worked well.

How thick is the steel?
A shopper on Jan 14, 2017
Best Answer: the latch is an actual rod not flat that is what slides to open and close. I'd say the latches are at least 1/4" thick. I've had at least a half dozen different types of latches in my barn and these are the only ones that haven't broken or fallen apart. They slide easily and I can use one hand to open if the other is full. I highly recommend this product and they look nice too!
