Care & Cleaning:
Cleaning and caring for leather is very important to the rider and horse. Leather that is properly cared for will provide a safe ride and years of use for the equine athlete. Leather should be cleaned and properly stored after each use.
  1. Clean off dirt, sweat, and hair with a clean towel.
  2. Carefully dampen a sponge or towel with water.
  3. Squeeze excess water out of the sponge or towel
  4. Gently clean each piece of leather with a glycerin soap or saddle soap.
  5. Wipe off excess soap with a clean towel, resulting in a buff shine.
  6. Store leather in a climate controlled environment, away from dust.
  7. If the leather is showing signs of dryness, gently brush leather with room temperature neatsfoot oil to soften the leather. Do not soak or leave excess oil on the leather for long periods of time. Wipe off excess oil with a clean towel. Excess oil could damage the durability of the leather and stitching.

So pretty but did not fit me
These are beautiful chaps made from soft leather with nice touches. They do seem to run true to size. Sadly, these did not fit me in the ankles, though they were lovely in every other way. I have slim ankles (had ordered XS tall) and the ankle area was very baggy on me so I had to return them. I wish it had worked out because the quality is amazing for the price!!!!

Love these half chaps!
This is my second pair - I think I had the first pair for at least 2 or 3 years. Wore them almost every day before the stitching got thin and the zipper broke. I put 'runs large' as I consider myself to have bigger calves, and the mediums fit me well. These are definitely a good value for the money.

The half chaps are made of VERY soft leather that you can quickly mold into. The only issue I had with them was I found them very slippery the first few rides so my legs wouldn't stay in place, but became better after a few rides. I ALWAYS get compliments on how stylish they are! Do recommend.

Beautiful quality. Leather is really nice. Comfortable to wear. True to size. Appears custom fit. Love that it comes with a bag to store them in. Will definitely purchase Huntley products again in the future.

beautiful, high quality
Custom look without the price. I have a hard leg to fit, tall calf, but only 13.5 inches wide, these fit amazing! They really look sharp too! They do zip from the bottom though, which I am getting used to.

Amazing Half Chaps
I ordered these for my daughter and she absolutely loves them - she thinks she looks like the "big girls" at the barn now! She wears them 3-5 times per week and is diligent to wipe them down with saddle soap after every ride. Her other half chaps looked like a dog chew toy so I couldn't be happier as to how well she takes care of these beautiful half chaps. The leather is soft and the zippers are very well made. Great purchase!
