AluShield is a mainstay in my barn. I can clean and dress my horse's wound, spray it with AluShield, and send my guy out to play knowing the wound will be protected. State Line has the best price on AluShield that I have seen. I have just ordered six cans of AluShield using an additional discount that State Line was offering today on all purchases, and I saved even more. Made my morning

This is the best liquid bandage by far. I've been using this stuff for years as my horse seems to always have a cut or a scrape. It's not irritating but is very protective and allows abrasions to heal without letting the flies interfere.

Great liquid bandage for legs
ginni h on Nov 29, 2017
My horse cut his back leg and I have had to put a bandage on it since June 28, 2017 -- it is getting colder and the flys are getting less and less so I'm hoping this does what the reviews say it does and will let me remove the bandage and keep the flys out and it will still heal.
Teresa Q on Oct 6, 2017
I go through cans of AluShield. Its a great wound bandage and helps heal all kinds of wounds.

is the Alushield a red spray or silver in color?
Bambi N on Oct 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The spray is silver and stays on where I used it, on my horse's sheath area, for about 24 hours. It helped with the insects and seemed to protect the sore area.
Has anyone tried it on more than superficial wounds?
A shopper on Jun 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Had a colt get out in a thunderstorm one night and sliced his face and chest open. Vet stitched his face and chest which were deep cuts but used this on his other wounds that were bad but did not require stitches. She did not apply it to the stitched areas but prescribed other medications. I have been using this ever since on wounds and cuts that don't require stitches. I love this product as it protects the healing area from dirt and flies and doesn't melt off in our hot humid weather like other products do.
Can you use blue kote under alushield and is it necessary?
A shopper on Mar 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have never used blue kote under Alushield.
Does it harm other animals who try to investigate and lick the bandaged area?
Keaton M on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Since my filly likes to lick the alushield and it doesn't hurt her my guess would be that it wouldn't hurt other animals such as dogs or cats but it doesn't taste good so I can't imagine any creature consuming very much of it. It's made with aluminum so you could check online to see if aluminum is hazardous to any animals.......
Can it be use?d on scraps on humans?
A shopper on Jun 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No idea, probably? I would just stick with regular washing, disinfectants and bandages. Humans are usually easier on bandages and roll in dirt much less often.
How many ounces?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 75 grams
1 gm = 0.0353 oz
