We've placed other pads in our horse's barn and he only uses the Itchin' Post pads. Now we have these installed in different locations at different heights so he can itch all of his parts! These pads have sat in the sun with daily use for years and are in great shape. Easy to install. Very pleased with this quality product and State Line Tack for carrying them.

Are these flexible enough to wrap around a post?
Stacy R on Nov 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are flexible enough to wrap around a post easily. Wrapping it around a round post is better than around a square post though. Fyi, I found the best hardware to mount the pads with are #14 x 1-1/2" Zinc Plated Sheet Metal Screws with 1/4 x 1" Fender Washers. Every hardware store should have them. You'll need 20 of each per pad. They are big screws so you'll need to pre drill pilot holes in the post with a 5/32" drill bit or you'll never get the screws to go in all the way and so all the screws don't split the post. Mounted that way it should be just about impossible for the horses to damage them and they should last forever. I tried to paste a photo here but can't. Hope this helps.
Material used to make this grooming pad? This is my 2nd request..please reply
Colleen l Z on Sep 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is rubber. Similar to the curry combs with conical shapes.
How do these pads work for sheep?
A shopper on Oct 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use these itching pads for our miniature horses. They love them! The rubber is soft, yet, firm enough to help reach scratchy itchese that they can not reach with their mouths. I'm sure your sheep would love them. We attached ours to a Post
What size is the scratch/grooming pad -please?
A shopper on Aug 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 23.2 x 15 x 1.5 inches..I secured mine to an area on the wood wall tha he rubs on..if you have a flat wall like mine you may need a few. It endures alot of rubbing and scratching and its been in the sun for over a year and still not damaged.
how wide and long is 1 panel? 2ft, 3 ft?
Sheila W on Aug 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I believe they are two feet. We attached ours to a post and out it in the center of the paddocks. I have miniature horses, and they live it . I tried to put a picture in here for you, but, it doesn't allow me to do so.
Has anyone had a horse chew the nubs off the itching' post grooming pad?
Kristin F on Mar 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can try using a no chew spray, applying small amount to the area of the post so the horse stops chewing. The item is Raplast Equine Chew Deterrant Spray Item # E013644. Any questions in regards to this item please call customer service 1-888-809-0751.
