The unique tank design keeps your chickens from roosting on top, which means no more droppings in the water or all over the tank. It has a filtered water tray that keeps poultry water clean and a spill-proof tank cap. It's 2.5-gallon reservoir comes with an easy-carry handle. This thermostatically controlled model is very economical, using only 60 watts to keep water ice-free for your feathered friends. It's also MET listed for safety.

I have one of these. I love it easy filling and easy to carry and in 0 degree weather it dosen't freeze i have had mine for 2 years an now i have more chicken and a few Turkeys .

BEST ANSWER: i use both mine outside. if they go off level, there will be a frozen section, but i used mine all last yr and they did excellent. this is the only heater i will have . the rest went right in the trash....
Does this automatically turn off when outside temperature is above freezing and autimaticallly turn on when temperatures get below freezing?

The above reviewer, after only a month says the cap leaks . Is this problem being remedied?

BEST ANSWER: I have not had a problem. Where is the cap leaking? If it's the outer cap and not the plug, see if the rubber gasket has a problem and try a little vegetable oil and put it on the gasket to get a better seal.
