Best Answer: It depends on the color/shade of the saddle you get. Mine was more red than brown so it took some digging to find matching leathers and girth. If you need the leathers and girth, I would recommend getting the Kincade close contact saddle package. The company makes sure that the leather pieces in the package are from the same dye batch so you should get a good match.

is this a chestnust color brown?

Best Answer: The girth is more of a dark chestnut. A little darker than a true chestnut leather. But it is pretty close. I bought it to go with my set of chestnut leather tack and it looks nice.
