I ride for 6+ hours, several days in a row. I have terrible knees. After reading the reviews, I hope this saddle will abate the pain I'm experience with so many hours in.

Love it! Gullet is a bit small but rides great. Wide would be too wide medium is really narrow at 5". 6"would be perfect.
Susan B on Oct 16, 2015
Good sturdy saddle for trail riding, but sits very high on horse. Too high for my 17 hand TB. Also, the stirrups are far too heavy.
Kathy T on Apr 11, 2015
I chose this saddle to try as an alternative to the very pricey Tucker Equitation Endurance saddle. My intent is to use it for trail riding American Saddlebred horses, I am not sure however that the tree will work for a Saddlebred, it might be too wide (even though I ordered the regular width). I am also not sure if the sizing will be correct for me, but State Line Tack has a very reasonable return policy (which I confirmed with call to Customer Service before ordering).

Will this saddle fit a quarter horse?
Chris on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will....However,if your horse has a pair of decent muscular shoulders, you might get into trouble. My Azteka who tends to be more on the Andalusian side, has some mighty shoulders & the saddle was pinching. I also didn't like that the back was slightly inverted and pushed right into her back muscles. It is a nice saddle for the price, but it is very stiffened ungiving. I decided against it since it was not a perfect fit for my horse and invested some more money and went with a Tucker Endurance saddle, which looks exactly the same, but fits her almost better then her custom made western saddle. Horse is HAPPY. More money very well spent!
I thought the endurance saddles were to be lighter in weight but I see that this is the same weight as my western saddle with a wood tree?
Is this saddle all leather?
A shopper on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I weighed my saddle and it is 26lbs on the dot, but even lighter once I changed out the stirrups. They're pretty heavy. Though slightly heavier than a synthetic saddle, I can carry this thing with one hand. I really like how easy it is to move around with the look and feel of leather. I rode for 3 straight days (8 hrs+) in this saddle and didn't have any problems.
I am looking at three of your saddles. Going from a western w/horn (I don't like) to more of a english/endurance style. I wanted something lighter for my gaited horse and leather. This saddle is very much like a Tucker that is too much money for me at this time.
The weight is as much as my western saddle and not sure of the adjustment of stirups, need short 28in. Is this saddle all leather?
Shirley L on Jul 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought a King Series Classic Distance Rider Saddle for our 16 hand flat shod Tennessee Walker. This boy has a terrific running walk, can rack his behind off, has a forward canter, and likes to go for a gallop. We ride in the mountains and Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, and riding in a flat Walking Horse saddle is an adventure I don't really care for. The western saddle made me crazy, especially at an extended canter and gallop. The King fits him well, is EXTREMELY comfortable, and is holding up well. The hand hold on the front does not get in my way, even when I am riding forward at the gallop. The higher cantle and slightly raised front make
for a comfortable, secure "pocket" when we "rack on!". The King looks good, has leather with good body-not the thin paper-like leather of some less expensive saddles, and doesn't have a lot of annoying "junk" under my legs. The stirrup bars are two or three inches lower than those on my English saddles. I replaced the leathers and stirrups with English leathers and fillis irons and ended up using pony sized leathers. I am 5'4" tall. The billets for attaching the girth are on the long side, so you may need to adjust the girth size. The saddle is leather and has lots of O-rings for gear; they make some noise, but I think of it as bear deterrent. All in all, this is a saddle that gives security without interfering with the rider the way a western horn sometime does, and I am very happy with it. If you ever invest in a Tucker, and once you ride in the King you may see no reason to invest in a Tucker, the King will be a great saddle when the weather is iffy and you don't want to risk musssying up the Tucker. I love this saddle for our Walking Horse. I hope this helps.
what type of cinch do you get with this saddle, a western?
Valerie M on Nov 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Mine was set up for an English style cinch ( three straps each side ) It is a nice saddle, very thick leather that takes a bit of time to break in, use a lot of oil at the start. very comfy seat and awesome "grab bar" when things get rough. Fits our 16.1 hands Paint mare very well.
What is the padding made from? Wool or synthetic?
Sophia W on Jun 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It's synthetic. Not bad for a low budget saddle tho. I still use my pad and blanket but have not been able to get a lot of saddle time to give a wear review yet.

What's the underside of this saddle like? Would it fit a very wide draft cross horse, or Halflinger?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2016

I purchased this saddle...having a hard time finding an English girth with buckles wide enough to fit the billet straps, which are 1 1 /4 inch wide...please advise ? Thank you !
A shopper on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Pretty sure I got the air form elasticized girth. The billets are a tiny bit too wide but you can make them fit, at least I did.
What type of saddle pad works best with this saddle ?
A shopper on Dec 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Toklat pad made to fit Tucker endurance equitation saddles fits this one perfectly.
Do you need to wear high calf boots with it?
Lisa A on May 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, but it helps to reverse the way the leathers buckle and put the buckles down low. I wear half chaps and paddock boots and have won river boots. Love the saddle.
Does it come in in a color with black seat?
A shopper on Nov 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, item is only available in the dark oil as pictured.
I have a high withered warmblood. Will the 17.5 Wide fit?.Currently trail on a Isabella Werth dressage saddle.17.5 wide.I do LD and this saddle looks nice.
Laura T on Sep 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This saddle will fit a variety of horses, including warmblood types. However, since all horses vary, we have no way of knowing if this saddle will fit your particular horse without seeing the saddle on your horse. It is always best to consult a person with experience fitting saddles if you are unsure if a particular saddle is appropriate. You might also compare the saddle measurement information found under the product summary with the saddle you know fits your warmblood to help you determine if this will work for you.
What is the tree width?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2018

I have a wintec endurance saddle size 17.5. What size should I get in this saddle? Thanks!!
Missy W on Sep 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would probably go with the same size. Although, I wasn't super impressed with this saddle's quality, but you get what you pay for!
is this saddle wide enough for my mutton withered short backed horse? she is very wide and round...7" gullet seems narrow to me even though it is listed as a wide tree...FQHB
A shopper on Nov 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, it's too narrow. Love the saddle but it is narrow for my low withered horse. It works but I don't use it often.
is the tree built with narrow twist?
Gary B on Oct 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think this is probably a question for the manufacturer. However I am only 5' tall and wear size 8 pants. I found this saddle to be comfortable for my short 28" inseam legs. Hope this is helpful.
What is the skirt length ?
A shopper on Aug 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Skirt: 26" x 18 1/2"
20 1/4" long flap
Is the seat measured after a western or English saddle? Thank you......
A shopper on Feb 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Seat size measured in Western.
I am 190 pounds and have 2 Thoroughbreds. My other saddles are 18 W but the largest size of this Australian saddle I am looking at is 17.5 W. Is it going to fit my horses ?
Terry N on Jun 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 17.5W refers to the size of the seat. This measurement has nothing to do with how it will fit your horse and everything to do with how it will fit the rider.
If I'm a size 16 in a western saddle what size should I get in this saddle?
Gary P on Mar 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 16.5 should work fine.
is the western seat size the same as the English seat size? I ride a size 18 or 19 in English. Thx!
A shopper on Nov 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: A 15 western is equal to a 17 english so an 18 english would be a 16 western. The 16.5 in this saddle would probably work. They say 16.5 Tucker equals 16 western 18 english due to padding snd this is a Tucker look alike. I really like mine. I'm 5'8 160 and got the 16.5 and it fits fine. The saddle gullet is very narrow 5" for the medium.
