Product Summary:

Korsteel® Jointed Uxeter Kimberwick Bit

Commonly seen today in the English events of breed association horse shows, the Kimberwick uses a curb chain for increased leverage. The Uxeter Kimberwick has two rein slots, each changing the desired result. The upper slot is used to increase the pressure on the tongue, while the lower slot is used to increase leverage and curb chain pressure.

how do you know what size to buy?
veronica w on Sep 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mark a flexible plastic drinking straw with a line. Put the straw in your horse's mouth where the bit will rest. Make sure the line you marked ahead of time is against the horse's lip. Mark another line on the straw against the lip on the other side. Measure between the marks, and add a quarter inch. That should be the size you need for that horse.
Alternatively, measure the mouthpiece of a bit already in use for that horse. Mouthpiece size should be the same.
By far the most common mouthpiece size is 5 inches; this is considered "average" size.
Does it come in 4 1/2 " ?
