would this fit a horse who is part percheron, he is 1300lbs, long head?
nicole b on Nov 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure. I use it on my Saddlebred. He doesn't have a particularly large head. He's about 1100 lbs.
What is size of bridle? I need full size or oversize.
A shopper on Jan 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is full size.
I bought this and I am new to driving ,,, what the heck is the top thing with the clips , I have no idea how this is suppose to come across the face? And what do I hook the clips too? Is there some sort of picture how it is supposed to look?
Laura M on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The snaps hook to the bit. It is to keep the horse from putting his head down to grab at something to eat or to buck. You adjust it to a comfortable length so the horse can travel in a natural frame. The book "Driving Horses" on Amazon is good for seeing how to harness and "Breaking & Training the Driving Horse" is another good book to have. This bridle is good for training, but might be too light weight for actual driving. Harness sets come with a bridle, most with blinkers. Blinkers are good for keeping the horse focused on what is in front of him. Also when harnessing, take the bridle off after the cart has been disengaged from the horse.
