A Good Product To Have
This is a good product to get the horse lunging in both directions without having to take off the lunge line from around the top of the poll. However, I would use either a neck stretcher or side reins to maintain the horse's collection while training.

Works well and good price
Gave four stars due to not having used this product much yet. Don't know how it will hold up yet. Otherwise would be five stars. Had this same design but in nylon instead of leather. That one held up for years and then broke while lounging my horse. Decided to try leather this time, but don't know how it will hold up over the years. This design works well. It puts even pressure on the horse in stead of pulling only under the head.

Does this go over the nose piece of the bridle to act like a caveson, or under the chin?

BEST ANSWER: Under the chin. It's pretty large for my horse...it doesn't sit close to chin but then of course that allows for the reins. I have used it quite a bit and found it works well. My horse is used to lunging so is generally well-behaved...don't think he has ever been really silly with it on but even if he was, I think this would be ok. There is definitely not the same level of control you would have with a lunge line over the poll.
is this to hang your bull whip off of say like your belt?
Thank You

BEST ANSWER: No. Is this a real question? The two snaps go on the bit rings on either side of the horse's face. The leather strap goes under his chin. Your longe line attaches to the metal ring in the center. This gives you the ability to longe your horse in either direction without having to change the side on which your longe line is attached.
