The owner of the stable I'm boarding at recommended these.

Like the wide opening for my horse. Most horse feeders are narrow and this one seems to be larger.

TERRIE S on Nov 6, 2018
I have used these buckets for my horses for many years. I have used both sizes. They are practically indestructible, easy to hang, and keeps the feed off the ground. I wouldn't buy any other type of feed bucket.
MAUREEN A on Sep 8, 2018
for stall feeding ease
tami d on Aug 30, 2018
The Better Bucket is great for feeding your horse. They can easily get to the bottom of the bucket without getting their head stuck. These are just awesome buckets and the only ones I use for feeding my horse his grain.
Julie v on Aug 21, 2018
can use at home then un hook and take to the show
Karen D on Jul 25, 2018
My horse has a big head, and continues to push down in round buckets collapsing the metal handle and making the bucket useless. Thinking this shape may just work for my needs.
George S on Jul 16, 2018
My horse has a big head, and he can easily get into this bucket to lick it clean.
Linda P on Jul 9, 2018
The reviews on this product were very good.

The ergonomic design looks good for my horses, they don't eat a lot of grain or feed at every feeding.
SYLVIA R on Apr 21, 2018
Easier access for eating grain.
Tanya G on Apr 12, 2018
I have several of these buckets and my horses all seem very calm and happy eating from them and do not knock the bucket around trying to get grain out of the bottom.
Michael T on Mar 28, 2018
works great for fence feeding. mush better on the horse than a normal bucket
Joell M on Mar 19, 2018

For horses that throw their food around, this solves the problem
Maria K on Feb 17, 2018
We have bought these before and they are great!
Lael-Ruth F on Feb 14, 2018
Specific bucket I was searching for for cows.
Jessica P on Feb 8, 2018
I have had the Better bucket for over 7yrs. I broke one by hitting it with a hammer' upside down. Normally the ice falls out. This time it cracked! :(
diane b on Jan 21, 2018
My horses always jerk their heads up out of their regular feeding buckets but I am hoping they will not do this with this new design
Suzanne A on Oct 24, 2017
good quality and price
Daniel S on Oct 14, 2017
This bucket has much better room for a horse to eat and drink out of especially if they have a halter on.

LOVE the large-ness. Easy to eat from.
Kay W on Jan 12, 2017
Have been dying to try these!
Alberta R on Dec 19, 2016
My horse tends to bang regular buckets around while eating, eventually breaking them. I'm hoping this new design with
easier access minimize or eliminate the problem.
Diane M on Dec 7, 2016
Have them already and love them. Just needed a new color.
Bonni B on Nov 17, 2016
Purchased two of these buckets 3+ years ago. This is to replace one that my horse damaged.
Denise H on Sep 29, 2016
Very durable bucket and my horse doesn't pull out / dump the water out as he does with other buckets
Greg N on Jun 11, 2016
I have one of these already, my horse does not shake his head around as much when he eats because of how much more room it allows. Bringing home a new horse, and she needs a new bucket!
Kim K on Jun 8, 2016
I already have buckets like these and they work great. I have miniature horses and one draft mare. The draft mare has destroyed every other feeder I've tried. This is the only one that has, so far, survived.

They were also on sale, which makes it even better.
MAUREEN A on Dec 16, 2015
ordered one to try it out. Looks like it would be easier for the horse to eat a bran mash from this than from a conventional bucket.
Nancy C on Dec 11, 2015
easier for horses to eat from than standard round/flat back buckets or corner buckets
Jana G on Nov 12, 2015
Love this bucket. I had purchased this in a store a year ago, but I think my horse must have become cast in her stall and shifted her large salt block(which she never did before) and the bucket was kind of crushed, but still usable after a little stretching of the plastic. This purchase will replace the old bucket since it is no longer laying flat against the wall.
Victoria J on Oct 3, 2015
square buckets are easier for horses to get their heads in and they last longer
Mindy D on Aug 21, 2015
Very handy idea and easy to clean. I love this item.
Katherine W on Aug 11, 2015
These are great for taking on a trip and hanging on a fence. They do fall over easily when filling with feed so lean the beveled end on something, especially if you wet the feed.
Karen G on Jul 9, 2015
Better bucket for feeding in stall.
Marce O on May 14, 2015
Easier for my horse to get his head into the feed bucket. He has an injured eye and I don't want him to hit it since he aggressively goes for the grain.
Glenn P on Feb 8, 2015
Easier for horse to fit her head in. She was always knocking itaround with a round small feed bucket.
carol r on Dec 20, 2014
they fit the shape of a horses face better. wish i could find it in orange.
Tina B on Oct 17, 2014
I love this deep style horse does not spill his food as easily
JANET B on Aug 24, 2014
I chose this type of bucket because my horses have large heads and the shape makes it easier for them to get into the bottom.
Susan B on Jun 20, 2014
My horse loves the extra room and makes for easy cleaning
Janice M on Jun 14, 2014
unfortunately the pony destroyed the handle, ripped it right off. Had to chg to a ground feeder.
Elida D on May 4, 2014
To attach to the side of our horse trailer
Jerry K on Apr 16, 2014
I bought green. I thought the shape and larger size would cut down on his spilling feed.
Nelda G on Jan 12, 2014
need a bucket for supplements, like the angled shape, it's easier for the horses to lap up their food
Kim B on Dec 15, 2013

Arielle C on Nov 12, 2018
If there enough room for my horses head when using the wall mounted bucket holder with one of these buckets??
A shopper on Nov 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I purchased the larger one and use them for water and grain. My horse has a drafty type head and I love these buckets because they give him plenty of space to get to the bottom of the bucket and not feel trapped. The only issue I have had is that when I fill it full with water and have to carry it, some water will spill out but I think that is because they offset the handle to give the horse room when it hangs on a wall. Even with that said, these buckets are awesome and I wouldn't buy any other type.
How does everyone hang them? Any particular hanger work best? Flat or in the corner?
Nikki S on Feb 28, 2018
I hang mine with a bucket strap.
If you have a horse that is hard on buckets, the handle on this bucket bends. I occasionally need to spread the handle so my horses head can access his supplements without the handle interfering close to his eye. Like the bucket for shows, trailer, however not for everyday.
What color of blue is the blue bucket? Is it the "berry blue" or the traditional "royal blue"? The picture makes it look like a dusty blue rather than the standard blue color.
ANN S on Jul 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Its close in color to the picture. It's not dark royal blue.
Hi, I'm trying to decide between the 10 gallon and 20 gallon bucket... I have 2 average size horses. Is it better to just get the larger bucket in case? What bucket do people prefer? Thanks
Tanya G on Apr 12, 2018
I use only the large bucket for feeding supplements
In the turnouts. The small bucket is not big enough for my needs.
Beware: these bucket handles can bend under pressure and narrow. If/ when that happens the u cl attachement where the bucket attaches to the handle aligns with the horses eye.
Make sure to spread the handle if it bends.
I had a horse cut it’s eye before I caught it..
To make sure it didn’t happen I put electrical tape around the junction.

The overall fiction of the product is good. I have a couple big rambunctious warmbloods that are hard on equipment.
Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: I have the 10 quart better buckets for my horses. The 20 quart is really big. The 10 quart is the perfect size.
do they make a feed saver lip for this?
Saga<3 on Aug 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: not sure what you mean but i’ve bought 2 large better buckets and have been very happy with them. It’s great for horses that drop feed.
I ordered 2 buckets last week. We use the hangers to feed in. I came out this morning (3rd day of use) and the back is broke on one. Is there any warranty on them?
