My 28 year old horse is galloping around like a 15 year old. I wish I could take it.

Gelding is a little stiff, I usually use SmartFlex but this is on sale so I'll try it.

Is this a powder or a pellet?
A shopper on May 18, 2016
Best Answer: A powder. There is a measuring cup buried in there, slice powder with a knife to find. We rescued my gelding at 11. He was still a stallion. Once I gave it to him at least 4 times a week on a regular basis, his rear hips improved greatly. Who knows now may mares he was removed, from ungracefully, might have some injury also. I mix a portion in a about 1 cup of apples sauce, then mix in warm water. He loves it. I was not successful just trying to feed it to him in a feeder. I hear it is good for dogs too. I tasted it, and it isn't bad. My joints are fine...

How does this compare to devils claw plus or easy willow?

Best Answer: The Rapid Flex is a blend of a variety of natural herbs used for inflammation which is the cause of pain. Devils Claw is a single ingredient and may not be enough depending on the horse's issue. Easy Willow is the base ingredient of aspirin and should not be used long term due to effects on the overall health as well as stomach issues. Longer than 2 or 3 weeks is long term. It can be more effective in the short term. I have used Rapid Flex and Easy Willow with good results but for different purposes. I now supplement daily with tumeric (non-irradiated) for overall inflammation since the main purpose has resolved/healed.

Is it legal to show while on RapidFlex?
A shopper on Mar 11, 2017
Best Answer: I am in Canada and I can't show with it due to the devil'claw. What I do is take the horse off it at least 4 days before and then it is out of the system. My horses have been tested and I have never had an issue doing it this way
