NO!!! BLUE!!! My mare has high withers and needs this contoured pad.
June J on Jul 17, 2015
is this good quality?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2015
Best Answer: I like the quality. The only thing I don't like is that the wear pad on the withers was sewn on crooked so I always think that is uneven when on.

How thick is this pad?
A shopper on Nov 18, 2015
Best Answer: These pads are very dense, triple thick! I would say they're close to three inches thick. You never have to worry about your horse getting a sore back or chaffed with this pad. They're very easy to clean up as well, just some mild soap & water, then air dry. You won't be sorry if you buy one of these.

How should this pad be cleaned?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2015
Best Answer: I put mine in a tub of warm water with very mild soap. Rub with my hands and then rinse with hose until all soap is removed...then hang outside to dry.

Is this saddle pad only for high withered horses??
First Name L on Jan 13, 2014
Best Answer: I bought this pad for a medium withered horse. I just recently, however, bought a contoured felt pad because my horse was sweating so much with the fleece pad during the summer.

Does this saddle pad slip or slide at all?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2017
Best Answer: The pad is made from plush, rather than fleece so it is more slippery than actual fleece. I would not recommend it for a single pad or an under pad. It is fine for a top pad. I like the contour shape. I work on the track ponying racehorses and have used my pad 6 days a week for over a year. The color (royal blue) still looks like new. Except for a few spots under the breast collar and bite pad, the material has held up well. The only thing I don't like about it is the wear pads. They are synthetic rather than leather and did not last very long at all for me. So, I would recommend this pad as a top pad for light to moderate usage. I would recommend it as a top pad for heavy usage with reservations about the wear pads. But I would not recommend it for a single pad or as an under pad.

How thick is this pad?
A shopper on May 2, 2016
Best Answer: I'd say this is an inch to an inch and 1/2. It's kind of hard to tell because it's fluffy. But for the price it's a great pad. The only 2 negatives are that it gets hot because it is so furry and when it gets sweaty it's a little slippery.

does the contour look like the picture ? a nice high contour for their withers not to rub ? thanks
Lexi63 on Jul 6, 2016
Best Answer: Mine does. If you were to run a level line along the top of the pad the wither portion is about 2 1/2 - 3 inches higher. I have a high withered QH and this pads works great.

I have a quarter horse she is 15.3:)hands.What size should I get??
A shopper on Jun 16, 2015
Best Answer: I have a 15.2 HH QH gelding that weights 1100 lbs. I purchased the 32" X 32" because he has a slightly longer back. If your mare has a short back I would consider the 30" x 30".

Is this real or synthetic fleece???
A shopper on Jun 15, 2015
Best Answer: I don't believe it is real fleece- not for $30.00 anyway, but to me it is better than real fleece because the sweat dries real fast and my horse's back is well-protected and the pad looks so good! Buy it, I have 3 colors now! Kate
