Good price;fits a little big
Overall really impressed with this for the price! I bought it to start my gelding on side reins and didn't want to spend a lot in case it doesn't work out! It is a little big on my quarter horse gelding so I am going to need to add extra holes to it.

It moves :(
I bought this to work with my horse on her lunging until she's more comfortable with the pressure on the bit. Unfortunately, this moves far too much. I've had one horse just pull out of it all together, and the other has to rub her eye because it shifts and irritates her. If your horse doesn't pull on the lunge line, this is fantastic (we can use it at a walk right now, but not trotting). Just be aware it may shift, no matter how tight.

Better than I expected
I have never had a lunge caveson before so I don't have any comparison to a very expensive one; however, it is so much better than just the rope style halter I was using. I am teaching my horses better flexion of the head, neck and body so I needed to have the lunging rope snap onto the caveson on top of the nose. I am well pleased that this caveson is sturdy enough to work for this and it fits my 3 average horses well.

Works great!
I received this promptly and it fit my horse aside from having to put a couple more holes in the noseband to make it more snug as it stretched a little. Overall great product and my horse lunges great now.

It's OK
It is OK because:1. I had to punch more holes to make it small enough to fit several horses2. It slops around the face, getting too close to the eye unless it's put on fairly tight (tighter than what I would normally do, but yes, still comfortable for the horse)It's your basic nylon quality.I would recommend it IF it didn't slop around the face so easily.I feel I need to keep checking it and adjusting it, depending on what I'm doing, and no, the horse isn't pulling against it.For the price, it's fine. But if you want to be serious about your work, then get something that is made differently. There are other styles that hold the face better.

Oddly sized
This is a good product for the price, but it oddly sized. I have a 15.1 hand AQHA mare with an average sized head. I have the cheek pieces on the tightest holes, and the nose band and throat latch on the loosest. So, if it fits your horse, this is a decent product for the price.

Good price
Bought this just to try it out. Way too big for my Thoroughbred's head. Had to add extra holes and still it's not right. Way too much length on the throatlatch.

Although I prefer leather this had all the features of a leather one with a bit extra and the price was perfect as this type of equipment is not necessarily used daily nor it is effected by the rain should be working out in it. Boarders often do not have covered riding in California.

I am working my horse completely bitless, so this works aligns well with my goals for both her and myself.

Read the reviews.. .other option was $180, so I'll give it a try. Need a good leather cavesson though.

Training. And I love it.

I'm not using as much as I had hoped. It kind or rolls around on the horses depending on which side has pressure on it.

what sizes are offered?
A shopper on Feb 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't believe there are sizes for this cavesson. It adjust at nose and cheek pieces and appears to be quite adjustable for most horses or ponies. I have a OTTB with slender long face and it fits her well. I'm pleased with this product and would recommend it. It is lightweight. My mare is quite sensitive with things on her face and she never objects to having this put on. Hope this helps you.
