Tail Bags
I find that these nylon tail bags work much better then the lycra tail bags, They do not rip as easily so they last longer and in rainy weather they seem to dry out more quickly. Enjoy the selection of colors too

Love the sturdy construction. Would prefer to see it tie on rather than use velcro.

Nylon tail bags
I am really happy with the nylon tail bags. I like the velcro closing and will probably buy a couple more.

Mustang Nylon Tail Bag
This is a very good product ~ easy to put on and seems to stay. The only recommendation I would make would be to add some heavier fabric as fringe to the bottom of the bag to swap the bugs and minimize the thud you hear when the horse swats his tail.

Great buy!!!
I’ve tried many different types of tail bags in my time, but none of them do the job better than these. My mare is death on most but these stay on better than any I’ve bought. The Velcro fastener holds the best and the result is the tails on my horses drag the ground. The colors are great and the canvas material holds up nicely plus the price is great too. Definitely recommend!

All 3 arrived in nice pkg. The color purple is true purple. Very nice material, as we have wet and mud this time of year. The elastic top keep debris from getting bag and along with velcro closure, easy to put on. I put them on ,they stay ON.?? WHEN I took them off to groom their take were dry and dirty. Very pleased with quality, price, durability. I would buy again and recommend them . Thank you STATELINE

Fits great, just need to convince my horse to wear it
It's a nylon bag with Velcro and elastic. Unfortunately, my mare is less interested in keeping her tail lovely than I am. Comfort: 4 Durability: 3
The best we've tried
I got these tail bags for my daughter and she puts them on all 5 of our horses. We have had other tail bags, but my daughter says these are the best ones we have had. Been using them for several months and they are holding up well. Comfort: 5 Durability: 4
Great Tailbag
I have tried a few tail bags. My horse has a very thick long tail. What I really like about this bag is that it has elastic around the opening, so now I hardly get any dirt or bedding inside the bag. His tail stay very clean and protected. And I prefer the Velcro over snap closures. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Tail protection at a great price
My Drum mare urinates in her white tail and has permanently stained the bottom amber. I have tried everything to get the stain out but gave up and am now trying to have it grow out enough that I can trim off the bottom which has the worst of the stain and prevent further staining. This bag has really helped with keeping the urine out of her tail. The bag can be a little cumbersome to put a very thick tail in but I haven't had too much trouble. I make one long braid from the end of her tailbone, stuff it in the bag, pull the opening up to the bottom of her tailbone then thread the velcro strip through the top of the braid. It had yet to come undone and lost out in the pasture. I do take it off every three or four days and reapply detangler so maybe that is helping the bag to stay put. I've very pleased. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Great quality!!!
The colors are nice and the price is very nice!! They stay on very well!! Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Grest everyday tail bag! I use it on broodmares who live outside 24/7 and the show horses. Keeps tails clean and tangle free, even in the mud. Extremely thin (Appaloosa type) tails will not stay inside the bag, but it is excellent on normal to extra thick tails. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
I am very satisfied with the tail bags. The fit is good and the quality is great including the velcro closure.
This is a good product and the design meets the customer's needs. Comfort: 5 Durability: 4
Good product
I bought two of these for each of my horses. I bought them not only to keep our goat from eating their tails, but also to keep out cockleburs. With excessive tail swatting they do come off. Also sometimes they tear off. They have not ripped! Just comes off due to excessive forces. Great for stalled horses Comfort: 3 Durability: 3
nice wraps.
They're great at a good price. Helps protect my horses tails. I should've bought more for my other horses.. I'll order more. Comfort: 4 Durability: 4
These tail bags are not worth the money.
I have purchased nylon tail bags with nylon strap snap closures for years. The tailbags I recently purchased are of a much lighter and flimsy nylon construction. They are not wide enough at the top where the elastic is to bag a big tail in, and even if they were, I would not use them because the velcro straps snag in the tail braid both on the way in and out. They may keep the tail from breaking inside the bag, but NOT at the top just below the tail bone where most of us wish to encourage growth. I wish I had not purchased eight of them, and will not buy again. Durability: 1
Best tail bags ever
I have been buying these tail bags for years, in my opinion I have not found any tail bags better than this brand. they are very durable. One thing I do to keep my horse from loosing it in the pasture is wrap electraical tape around the Velcro. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
So far a good product!
Haven't used it for more than a couple of weeks, but it appears to be wearing very well. Time will tell, but being nylon I expect it wash and wear VERY well. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Extremely Durable!!
These are the only tail bags that will not rip or tear! They may not be as fashionable but the Lycra tail bags seem to rip after being work for 2 days. Highly recommend these tail bags! Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
For the price this is my first choice.
This is a must to protect my walking horses 7 foot long tail. All you need is some tape to tape the top of the bag below the tail bone and then I tape the bag tightly around the tail about 3 more times down the bag.. These bags are very loose on a tight braid so do need to be taped if the tail will be left bagged for a few days. I choose these bags over others because they do not soak up water fast and when wet they dry VERY quickly unlike lycra bags that seem to allow the tail to get soaked and stay damp. Plus these bags do not stretch out like lycra bags and do not get hung on things as easily. Only problem is, this bag almost touches the ground when i put it at the bottom of my 15.3 horses tail bone so they would not be good as is for a pony. Comfort: 3 Durability: 4
Love these tail bags
The material is durable and long to protect my Arabian horses long tails.I like the Velcro better than the tie type. I have been using these tail bags for a long time now and will continue using them. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Better then the rest!
I used to buy the bags that you tie into the braided tail. But then you got to fight with it to take them out. I decided to give these a try and i love them. My horses tail is bagged through the winter and before shows. This bag never falls out, doesn't rip and stays put. Even when its left in for 4-5 days. I will never go back to the tie in type. Comfort: 5 Durability: 5
Question???
I'm thinking about buyin some of these but I'm trying to figure out how the Velcro works?? Do they hold very well?I'm used to the type that just ties...
Awesome!
Wonderful! I put this on before shows, and it works wonders. A must buy!
Best Tail Bag!!!
I have a gray arabian with a white tail to the ground. I always keep a tail bag in. This is the best tail bag I have ever bought. I actually ordered 5 more so I will have them in stock for a while. They stay in amazingly and keep the tail clean and dry in the mud and rain. The rough side of the velcro is on the bag and not the strap like most so it never gets tangled in his hair.
Love it!
Great tail bag, hasn't fallen off yet! the snap is velcro, not a button. Only complaint is that it isn't water proof!

BEST ANSWER: You brqid your horses tail then put the tail in the bag halfway up the tail bone and put the velcro strip through a braid and velcro it to the bag. very easy and they almost never come out!

The tail bag has an elastic band at the top that attaches on one end with velcro (the other end is sewn on) - the band goes through the braided/banded tail. The velcro attachment is strong - I've never had one fall/get pulled off. I am a big fan of this tail bag! My stallion made a game of destroying the stretchy lycra bags so I've used one of these nylon bags over the stretchy bag for a couple of years now. The bag is very durable and helps to keep his tail clean, as well (the dust does not penetrate the nylon as easy as it does the stretchy lycra).
These tail bags fasten with a snap or with velcro closures. Brail the tail from below the tail bone to the bottom of the tail. Slip the bag over the tail and pull it up to the top of the braid just below the tail bone. Separate the braid in the middle and put the strap through the braid and then fasten.
I bought 2 of these bags and they work great. The black tab that you see at the top, is a strip of velcro. After you braid the tail, slip the braid into the bag and hook the strip of velcro through the top of the braid. I haven't had any trouble keeping them on the horses.
The tail bag fastens with Velcro. It works pretty well, but my one horse has been able to swish it off. I braid her tail and then put te Velcro through the braid.
You intertwine the braiding with the strap at the beginning, finish braiding and put the rest of the tail in the bag. Not very easy.
Great tail bag. It fastens with velcro. It is double ply on the bottom of bag to help with wear. I will buy this tail bag again.
There is a velcro tab at the top which has actually held quite well thus far...
Braid the tail and tie it and pass the Velcro loop through the braid.
Through braided tail with velcro.

Do I have to braid this bag into my horse's tail?
BEST ANSWER: The Mustang Nylon Tail Bag is perfect for my gray Arabian mare who loves to roll in the mud and stand in the rain. I braid my horse's tail, which is very long, white and silky, then place it inside the bag. This tail bag stays put with the Velcro tab that is easily looped through her braided tail. The tail bag is light-weight, so when she rolls in the mud, it doesn't pull off or get heavy. It keeps her white tail clean and she has worn it all winter.

Hi Caroline, This bag work very well if you braid the tail and bind the bottom of the braid with an elastic band prior to putting the tail into the bag. Finish by fastening the Velcro thru the tail above the braid. Very easy bag to work with.
braid your horses tail from just below the bone to the bottom of the tail and fasten a rubber band to secure the braid. Put the tail into the bag and attach the strap through the braid just below the bone .
No, it's just a nylon sack that you put the tail in, and loop the black strap thru a braid at the top to secur it
No, it has a velcro strap to hook into the braid. This is a great bag! Easy to use, doesn't pull on the tail.
I don't know if you "have to", but it sure does make it easier.

You braid the tail, then put the tail in the bag.

Braid the tail... put the braided part in the bag, make a hole in the hair above the braids close to the bone loop it through and Velcro
