Silky soft and durable
I love these lead ropes. They are soft, satiny nylon and are the perfect weight for using with tie rings or for single tying with quick release knots. They don't fade and are extremely durable.

Purchase a Weaver Instead
While I don't hate this lead rope, I prefer the Weaver lead ropes. I bought this to match a halter I was also picking up, and the color I wanted in the Weaver lead ropes was out of stock. The snap is hard to open, and very quick to close. It seems that the spring is either too stiff, or too big for this halter. I find it a bit annoying, and it takes more time to unhook the horse or hook up the horse than it should.

BEST ANSWER: the lead rope is 9' long. I usually do not buy nylon leads, but I took a chance on this one and am pleasantly surprised. I prefer the flat braided leads because they are easier to hold, are softer and have a little give to them if your horse acts up. But this lead rope is just as nice to work with.
