Comfort. Quality. Useful
Really awesome rope halter. Great quality and nice looking. Can be used like a bit less bridle or hackamore. Great price for the quality. Fits my horses very well.

Not sure yet
I bought this because I've just adopted my first Mustang. I'm sure it will be what I need to teach him well as he's a smart one and willing to please at everything asked of him. I have been told that Mustangs respond better to pressure from the nose than the mouth. If I don't have to bit him, then I'll have the equipment to use, not to bit him. We'll see how it goes. The product is made great and looks to be very strong and sturdy. I love it!

LOVE this Halter!
I bought this for my 14.3 Morgan. She is 3 yrs old. I am training her with complete Natural Horsemanship and this halter is the one of the best so far I have ordered from Stateline Tack. It is very well made, strong, and attractive. Love the top brow band . She has a narrow face and other mustang halters tend to slide down her neck because they are too large. I would never put a bit in my beloved horses mouth. Ever. This is a great side pull rope halter and I am going to buy more!

Great product
I was surprised at how substantial and well put together this side pull is. It does not fit my Lipizzan, but is perfect for my Mustang. I purchased the 800-1100 lb horse size. The nose band is comfortable and has just the right amount of stiffness. It is also very good looking. I would totally recommend this product.

Nice Hackamore
My horse loves it. He listens quick and my friends can easily ride him without me yelling at them to be gentle.

Great halter/hackamore combo
I have a 16.2 hand paint/warmblood cross. He is a very big boy. He is very easy and I ride him with a hackamore. I wanted something I could use as a halter and a hackamore at the same time, and this definitely fits the bill. It fits him perfectly (I actually think it might be too big for a small horse). It is extremely well made, very rugged, with very strong hardware. I now only need one piece of equipment instead of 2 to ride or to tie or lead. And the price was very good compared to other sites and stores I looked at. Well worth the money.

Great Value!
This was exactly what I was looking for. Love the convenient rope halter, but always hated no way to cross tie (neatly). I took the browband & throat latch off, and my wants were fulfilled at a great price.

Well made side-pull
This is a very strong, well-made side pull. Initially I bought one and tried it out - with the addition of a curb strap to hold it snugly around the nose it works well. I didn't try it without the curb strap as it would tend to slide around the horse's nose and not be as effective. I used an all-leather curb strap with no chain.I also used this product on fully trained and on a green horse - works better than a bit, in my opinion! For the price it is certainly worth a try!

I have a horse that was previously ridden with a hackamore. I do not like hackamores and have been trying to ride her with a snaffle. She does not like the bit. So, I thought I would give this a try.

Have a mare whose mouth was ruined by another rider. Will start her retraining bitless, with this side pull, to lose the associated habitual response to bit pressure, then transition back to a soft rubber mouthed snaffle.

Does this come with reins?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No it doesn't. But otherwise, it's a good product; works great on my mule and on our 4 year old filly who is just starting on trails.
Will this sidepull fit my welsh pony?
janette m on Feb 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure if they offer a smaller size but the one I got was large, it is big enough for my 17 Hand standard-bred, the only other halter I have found to fit him is the one he was wearing when I got him, so I would have to say it may be too big
Will this fit a 15 hands high Arabian ?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Probably not. I can be adjusted to some extent - I added a leather curb to the bottom of the noseband to make it fit the nose snuggly. I have full sized horses and I found it a bit large for them although I made it work. Can't remember if it comes in different sizes - If so I got the regular horse sized.
Would you recommend using this product with a tie down?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No My whole concept for using this getting away from a bit and an approach of giving cues without causing pain that a bit will bring cause the horse to raise its head to escape it. I would recommend gaining an understanding of why you believe you need a tie down, I do not want to restrict my horse from being able to raise his head, there are reasons for them to do so that the they need to allowed. their perceptions are way beyond ours they will sense things way before us and their instinct is raise their head and gather info to determine if it is threat or not, when do not allow this then they still know it there just not weather it is some thing good, neutral, or ready to gobble them up. IMO this is an item for natural horsemanship, also IMO there is no place in natural horsemanship for tie downs. IMO if you have to use a tie down go ahead and use a big old curb bit and force what you are trying do, and when the horse one day blows up out of self preservation make sure you blame the horse. I know I probably sound like a A$$hole but I am not trying to, I just want to speak for the horses, they cannot speak for themselves. You are maybe interested in riding in a halter, I applaud that, but will also encourage you to do away with the tie down, you do not need it. do the work required to let you relax and drop his own head, it will be sooo much better when that happens. Google Rick Gore horsemanship he has a web site and hundreds of you tube videos on his channel. He covers tie downs very well. Thanks
My horse is a warm blood cross, 16 hands, approx 1200-1300 lbs. this says for average horse 800-1100 lbs. do you think it will be too small for my big guy?

We love these halters at my barn and would like to order other colors. When will you have red, pink, and blue halters available to order again?
Sassi Calypso on Apr 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I WISH I knew that answer myself as these bitless bridles are AMAZING and I LOVE the brow band. Very good quality made too. Please let me know when more colors are available. I want TURQUOISE with STAINLESS steel pieces....
It shows four different color options, but then there's only two; black and pink that I'm able to select. How do I get to the rest?
Felic on Jul 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is a discontinued item, and unfortunately black is the only color left available.
When will you be getting more colors??
