my other helmet broke after a bad fall
Gaby G on Dec 29, 2016
I bought one of these in tan to make a hell hat. My daughter used in the meantime and a friend used it in the meantime. It felt so comfortable and looked so nice on them that I ordered one in black for my daughter and one in blue for myself just to use for schooling. It has a washable/removable liner which I just love. I also bought my husband an Ovation helmet after he tried on many at Equine Affaire.

how do you know what size helmet you need ?
Anna H on Nov 10, 2014
Best Answer: I ordered a small because my head measured 21 inches. I love this helmit! I fell a couple of weeks ago while in the woods. A pack of dogs off leash came after my 3 year old Morgan and I. He turned and bolted. One dog came up behind us and my guy tried to kick at him. So I went flying over his shoulder. I tucked and rolled but my head hit the ground anyway... Not a crack in the helmit or my head. So grateful! I would definitely purchase another.

What size would fit a 6 year old girl?
A shopper on Feb 18, 2017
Best Answer: It depends on the size of her head, silly question. Kids can have hugely different size heads. I work at a riding center where one 6 year old will be an xs and the next will be a medium. You MUST triy on helmets on children. State line is great about returns if it doesn't fit right.

What size would be good for a 15 year old?
A shopper on Dec 30, 2015
Best Answer: Hard to say, I usually wear about 7 1/4 cowboy hat and I have the large. I like them because they are not round, more oval shaped.

true sizing for this helmet I have bought two helmets but the charts and they where not a good fit, the tipperary helmet I measured a 22 inch which is a large and I had to have a medium......as the Sportage ran a bit big, then the Tipperary T2 I needed a large.. now for the ovation??? I have a 22 inch head but the chart reads S/M but someone told me that I actually need a M/L in this helmet... Can you advise...I have a more oval head so can not wear the troxel at all.......I do not have a local tack store to try one on so I do need some advise, this can be costly to return them..
Thank you so much for your advise in advance...
