Perfect for ground work
I was having trouble trying to find a rope halter with a long enough rope. This rope is the perfect length for training, especially a gaited horse that can't do the tight circles at first. I love it. The only issue I see with this product is the rope halter is quite stiff. It's a different rope than the rope that is held by the trainer. I think over time it will become softer. If not, I will use my other rope halter with the rope.

Recommend
Item is accurately represented. Proper placement of knots for trigger pressure is important. Like the 15' lead as it allowed for distance during groundwork. Would definitely recommend.

Broke in a month
The lead rope broke where it connects to the halter when my horse pulled on it. I also noticed that it had stretched out an extra 4 inches! The halter also slips after awhile and I have to retie it a lot.

Long lead is perfect
This is a very nice training halter. The lead is the perfect length for groundwork exercises. My horse really respects the pressure points so I can apply minimal pressure in training.

Great Quality
So I feel like I should start off I LOVE this halter and lead rope! With that said no it will not fit your larger breeds. A thoroughbred would probably be fine with a smaller head though. It fits my quarter horses great! The lead rope is my favorite long and easy to work with unlike some. The halter has the right amount of stiffness. Overall I am happy with this set!

I like this halter .
I like the halter but it has a tendency to loosen up after awhile.

Its ok..
This is my first rope halter. Didnt know any different until i saw other ppls rope halters. This one is VERY stiff. I have a 14'2 APHA mare and this barely fits. In the pic, you see extra rope where it ties...on my mare, theres about an inch left after its tied. The lead rope is soft & i love it. Im probably going to spend the extra money & buy a clinton halter from his website.

Very similar to clinician sold halters!
I really like this set. The rope is soft but really conveys the movement to the horse. And the halter is firm enough that you don't have to use too much force to get a reaction from the horse. My knots were tied tightly and it fits great, but I have smaller headed Arabians. All in all I like it a lot!

TINY
I couldnt get it over my horses nose.My horse is a 16.2 holsteiner. So she does have a larger head than the horse in the picture- but NOT BIG AT ALL. I was bummed...it is great quality- the knots were kinda.....dont know how to describe it- but NOT what looked like in the photo. not that tight crisp look.IF YOUR HORSE IS NOT A QH...AND IS BIGGER THAN 15.2 HANDS- THIS ISNT FOR YOUR HORSE

The quality of this rope halter is great. The length of the lead is just right for walking, grazing and ground work. The four knots helps the horse's response when being worked.

Stiff and has knots on the nose for a more sensitive feel and response. Great for starting a horse that has never been haltered.

does the lead rope come off the halter?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It slips loop thru loop. I bought a snap like on most lead ropes to make it quicker.
Does the lead rope disconnect from the halter?
Renee M on Mar 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The loop is designed to be easy off/on. The reason there is no hook is because if you want to correct your horse by looping the rope, etc. you will not be hitting his head with the clip.
WILL THIS HALTER ADJUST ENOUGH TO FIX PONY?
dusty on Apr 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No not unless you have enough knowledge to re-tie all the knots and if you did you could probably tie your own halters. I recommend buying a Clinton Anderson halter because they come in all different sizes. This one definitely did not fit my cob size horse. Only will fit a regular size horse to large horse.
