Depends on the injury...
My mare bowed her deep digital flexor tendon and I needed to ice it. I tried a number of products that I ordered online, but none of them were able to compress enough to actually cool her tendon, which is between the cannon bone and the superficial flexor. As a last resort, I filled up a couple of socks with crushed ice and bandaged them on with a standing wrap. Bingo... problem solved.Having said that, is an awesome sight for buying horse products. I believe this product would be very effective at cooling injuries that are more superficial and easier to contact.

Are those sold as singles or pairs?
Mindy S on Jun 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: These are sold in a pair.
Can you only use these if your horse is hurt? Or can you just use them after a long ride or after a rodeo?
Tish B on Oct 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They work for almost anything. They do not have to be injured to use them. They help with inflammation, swelling, and just to relax/tighten the muscles after a workout.,
can you use these before a run? or between runs if you run more than once a day?
A shopper on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The general rule is to ice for 5 minutes and rest for 15 minutes. Repeat this until heat and swelling are reduced. The entire process should be repeated three to four times a day unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian.
