Worn less than a week and they ripped!
Worn less than a week and they ripped in the middle of the knee. They didn't stay up all the time and they aren't very sturdy. I returned them. Very disappointed.

Just as it says, "For bumps and bruises ". I'm sure they'll perform as stated.
I got these boots in hopes they'd add support to the knees. They don't. My horse hates them and as he doesn't bang up his knees I will save these boots for later.

A real difference for my old guy
My senior horse had developed some nasty abrasions due to the fact he has a rough time getting up and down now. These have helped tremendously!! We use a maxipad inside for added padding, and these seem to stay put through the night. Thanks!! The knee is such a difficult place to wrap and these do not interfere with flexion!!!

This product was exactly what my horse needed.
My horse refuses to lie down in his stall that is filled with shavings. He wants to lie down outside on the hard ground, so we put a big patch of sand for him to lie on, but he still would get these sores right under his knees. (He gets up like a camel instead of a horse.) I tried wrapping them, which was too hot in the California summer and it really did not cover the area that was being affected. I also tried putting tape, and that just made things worse. I saw these boots and they work perfectly. They protect the exact area that needs to be protected. They stay in place without having to be too tight. Even if they slip, they only go so far and it still protects the spot that is being injured--a line right under the knee. Before I bought these, I would sometimes see blood running down his leg in the morning. Now, he has no sores and the hair is growing back. I would definitely try them if you are having this problem with your horse.

This did not stay up for me. I have a horse that falls down and I planned to use them to protect her knees when she fell but no matter how tightly I wrapped them they were still around her ankles in the morning.

Are there different sizes or is this a one size fits most product?
A shopper on Oct 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I think it is a "one size, fits all" product. They fit my horse fine. He was (I sold him.) a big Appendix Quarter Horse. I thought the product did a good job for what I wanted. They do slip a bit overnight, but it still covered the area that I wanted to protect. My horse did not try to take them off or hurt them in any way. However, if you have a horse that is going to try to get them off, I think that they could ruin them pretty quickly. Good luck!
Can you ride with them on?
Nancy N on Mar 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I only use them at turnout. I’m not sure about riding with them. I do love them and they’ve held up very well! Sorry wish I could help more
