Very satisfactory product.
Easy to put on/off. Fit pretty well and seem to protect the horse's legs well enough for my purposes (dressage) and good for trail riding. Easy to clean.

Protective boots
These have worked out well and lasted longer than other protective boots I have used on my horses. Great product for the price.

Favorite boots!
These are my favorite pair of boots. I use them for everything. My current pair are in pretty good shape after 2 years of riding in them at least 5 days a week. They fit my TB mare great. She has long legs that are fairly narrow so boots that fit are hard to find. But these boots fit my WB too. I won't use anything else!

Hapy with these boots
I ordered these because my other boots made my horse's legs sweat even on cooler days. His legs still sweat in these boots but not nearly as much. They also fit him perfectly, size Medium on a 15.3h Quarter Horse that is built like an appendix. The quality is good. I don't ride hard so durability isn't really a factor but they look like they are made to last. Overall very happy with these boots.

Adequate
Good price. Only used them a few times so this is not really a fair review. They are adequate. I do like that they are easy to rinse off and as they are lightweight do not take too long to dry. I have had trouble finding boots that fit my mare and cover the areas of leg that need protecting. These do fit her in front. Will wait and see how they wear.

Love love these boots!
I love these boots! They breath better than most, flexible but protective, look great, easy to clean. Holding up great to daily use so far, I've only had them for 3 months but they look practically new.

Very soft and flexible
Very soft and flexible. My very sensitive skinned half Arab doesn't object to them. Normally he hates wearing boots.

Update - They failed miserably
I used them on just a few uneventful trail rides and they both developed tears on the inside over the fetlocks. So while they did protect them, perhaps, the boots weren't resilient at all. I had to return them to the manufacturer.

Great Design
I've been buying Competitor Splint boots for years - they are the same price, a little smaller, and have a nice snug fit with a suede strike patch.. Unfortunately, the stitching at the bottom where the foam insert is sewn eventually wears out and they need to be replaced, long before the rest of the boot wears out. When I saw these I decided to take a chance. I like that there is no external stitched edge to wear out, they dry quickly, and offer a little more coverage. I'll be interested to see if they truly disperse heat as the season warms up.

What are the dimensions of the larger size?
Randi S on Sep 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Professionals Choice advises us that the larger size is 12.25" long and 12" wide around the cannon bone. The medium size is 10.75" long and 10.5 wide around the cannon bone.
I'm new to horse ownership - i have always leased and used the stuff that came with the horse. I know there are different things out there for different purposes, but not sure how to figure out IF i should boot my horse and if so when and with which one. We are not professional at all, she is just my fun horse. One day i might jump her over small jumps, then next day trail ride her through the mountains, and then the next day do some fun barrels or trail classes at a local horse show. I know there are "jumping Boots" and reiners / barrel racers have boots they were (skid boots i think) ... but if its just for fun do i still use them for occasion activity? or is there an all around boot to protect her for whatever fun today brings ... or should i boot her at all?

She doesn't over-reach and clip herself so i know i don't need bellboots. And she seems really flexible and agile. If it helps she is a very stocky AQHA foundation mare from a long line of reiners, cutters, barrel racers, and stock. Her line comes from texas from "real Ranch work" verus competition lines.

Thank you!

BEST ANSWER: I would consult with your local farrier or Vet. Unfortunately bec we do not know the horse we cannot make that judgement call.
