Product Summary:

Horseware Rambo Wug Turnout Sheet

The Rambo® Wug waterproof turnout blanket has a unique neck design for horse owners that want more protection without using a neck cover. The design produces a collar or scarf-like effect, which reduces heat loss and prevents rain and snow from entering the front of the rug and running down the back. The high-cut neck design also eliminates unneccessary pressure on the withers.

The Rambo® Wug features Horseware's patented Leg Arches™, no-slip design with three belly surcingles, and PVC-coated tail cord to keep the durable and well-fit turnout in place. Horseware® understands the horse's physique so well that their unique cuts and designs allow the blanket to correct itself even after a horse lays down and rolls. The Leg Arches™ allow freedom of forward motion and prevent extra fabric from gathering around your horse's legs as they move around. The patented 'V' Front closure system is easy to use and allows the blanket to be carried on top of the shoulder rather than the point of the shoulder, therefore allowing the blanket to move as the horse moves.

Fitting Your Horse's Blanket:
The fit of your blanket is extremely important to the comfort of your horse. An improperly fitted blanket can cause rubbing and slippage. Horseware® blankets are Euro-cut and the sizes do not run the same as other manufacturers' blankets. To find out what size Rambo® blanket your horse needs, measure the distance from the center of the chest to the center of the tail and subtract four inches. Horseware® Rambo® blankets are sized in three-inch increments, so you will need to choose the closest size available. Horseware® Rambo® blankets run large so we recommend choosing the closest size down from your measurement. *Wug sizing runs small due to the fabric up on the neck.

Care Of Your Horse's Blanket
To keep your blanket as comfortable as possible for your horse and to maximize the blanket's life, we recommend that you clean your blanket annually. First, remove excess dirt from the outside of the blanket with a brush and hose. The blanket can then be washed either by hand, or on a delicate cycle with cool water in a commercial washer. Use only very mild soap. When the blanket has been washed, allow to drip dry and ensure that the blanket is thoroughly dry before storage. Do not put your horse's blanket in the dryer or wash with hot water. Do not store your horse's blanket if damp or wet. This will damage the waterproof coating and void any warranties.

Is the sizing on this blanket comparable to other Rambos? My horse usually takes a 78" but in his Rambo Optimo he takes a 75". Thanks!
A shopper on Sep 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My guy is an 81" and that's what I ordered for him. This is THE BEST turnout sheet so I also have the med. weight for colder temps. The fabrics washed really nicely, and is still like new after wearing it every day over a long Winter last year. I'd purchased other rip stop brands for horses I use to lease, and this is the only fabric that actually held together.
Does this blanket have any fill? Or is it really just a sheet?
Tamison R on Dec 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It’s a very heavy sheet. There are three levels of fill for this particular blanket, sheet, medium, and heavy. This is good for wet, damp days in the 30’s depending on your horses’s tolerance to the cold.
