This stuff really works, stopped my foal from chewing tails, but caution, don't spray at the top of a mares tail, even if it's down flat, she will rub. At least mine did, so I just dabbed it on and that seemed to work better.

Stop from chewing

It was recommended by a good friend. We tried applying chili pepper and a Tide detergent paste on JP's bandage and neither worked. We sprayed RapLast on the bandage and he is leaving it alone - saving us money on re-wraps! I highly recommend this product

Can this be used on trees without harming them?
A shopper on Sep 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Do NOT put this on any vegetation you want to live. Read on as to why:
I looked up the ingredients and found the following:
Nonanoic acid is also called Pelargonic acid. Pelargonic acid is clear, oily liquid with an unpleasant, rancid odor. It is nearly insoluble in water, but very soluble in chloroform ether, and heexane. It is commonly used in conjuction with glyphosate (such as Round-up which is a non-selective herbicide) for a quick burn-down effect in the control of weeds or vegetation in places you do not want it. It WILL kill your plants and may harm the tree.
Vanilly amide: organic compound and a capsasin. It is an amide of pelegonic acid and vanillyl amine. It is present in chili peppers.
Oleo resin: odiferous, the same type of compound found in pepper spray. It is designed to stick on whatever it touches.
This likely will answer your question.
Does it work for dogs?
Pamela A on Oct 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. You need to be absolutely sure it does not connect with their skin. Put it on a wrap, bandage or on pieces of cloth attached to things you do not want chewed. It is very strong stuff. Do not put on the ear coat to stop chewing if the ears will flop into the dog's eyes.
