Product Summary:

The Reinsman Microsuede M2 Lite Contour Square Pad features a New, Light Weight Moisture Management felt which weighs only 40% of traditional pads with additional padding added in the bar area for orthopedic support. In combination with the Tacky Too bottom, this pad will eliminate pad slippage while promoting air circulation - wicking away and dissipating sweat from the horse's back. Your horse will experience a cooler and dryer workout while having less back fatigue resulting in overall better performance. Reinsman's exclusive Tacky Too® bottom is a non-slip material that is anti-bacterial, ventilated, pressure distributing, shock absorbing, and deceptively tough and durable. It does not pull or collect the horse's hair nor does it trap heat or sweat. Reduce sore backs and saddle roll! Low maintenance, easy to clean and quick drying.
Size: 32" x 32" x 1" thick (1 1/2" thick in bar area).

I trail ride and wanted a pad that had padding in the withers and back but would not allow the saddle to slide back like the wedges do. I also end up in the water alot and it dries much better when it gets wet. I would highly recommend this infact will be ordering another one as a back up
when I finsh buying other things I need or want.

This is a great pad! My trial horse is on trial for rides at least 3-5 times per day and this pad holds up well. It is easy to clean and does save sweat from piling up on his back and there is no movement of his saddle.

I have used Tacky Tack / Reinsman for over 12 yrs...
They do not allow saddle slippage and keep a horses back sore free.
They also allow u to ride w/a looser cinch...which some horses prefer.
Taking out all the air after over tightening sets the horse and rider up
for bad behavior.
Thanks....Deb Jones...Kville, CA

This is a very durable comfortable pad at a reasonable price. We have four of these and they dry fast, stay clean and true to form, would highly recommend.

I choose this pad to try to correct the fit of my saddle on a horse with higher withers. I found several good review - no bad ones and state line had the best price for this pad.

I had a tacky too pad before. It is wearing out. This one looks even better.

This one was on sale! My husband has one and I have used it before and liked it, and I needed a new pad. This one fit the bill nicely.

I have a 19 yr. old QH. He's well built but body is changing. Rather high withers and back is starting to sway. Would thus pad be a good choice?

BEST ANSWER: I own this pad and it's a great pad, but I don't think this is the answer to your problem. I have a horse that has a bit of a sway back, and I bought the Cashel swayback pad. It works great. Here is a link.

I tried using this pad one time and it has a lot of hair stuck in it. Am I supposed to be using a felt liner pad underneath?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have used my pad several times and don't usually have an issue with hair being stuck. I don't use a felt liner under mine. Generally I'm pretty happy with it! I do make sure I groom well before putting it on and especially in the shedding times (spring and as winter coat comes in). Not sure if this helps but glad to offer up my experience if so.
Is this a good pad for a Tennessee Walking Horse? We use a quarterhorse semi-bar saddle
A shopper on Nov 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't know anything about Tennessee Walking horses, I own Quarter horses and own 2 of these pads. Love these pads, excellent quality, and easy to keep clean, excellent under my 15" western saddle and my daughters 18" western saddles. My Quarter horse is a shorter backed horse and this pad is a little long for her, but I choose to put the pad in the middle under my saddle. Totally recommend these pads. Hope this helps you.
I have an extremely high withered quarter horse & double pad when I ride & my saddle slides back & the saddle rubs. Will this pad help?
starbarbar on Nov 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It seems to work well for my daughter's older mare that is beginning to show some top line atrophy. (27 yr old mare) We trailride in foothills and her saddle stays in place well, and is padded nicely through the saddle bar area of the pad. I love mine for my mare too, it serves her well keeping her back from getting sore, there is always a dry streak along her spine so it keeps that channel cool in the summer. The top line of the pad is formed more to the shape of the natural curve of the horses spine so it fits better than most rectangle pads. Hope that helps!

Celest M on Apr 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I use this pad on a high spine racking mare, she also has rather high withers, its been a good pad although i had to bump up the height by adding a plain white riser pad under it because it was rubbing on her last few vertebrae at the edge of the pad. I dont think you would have the same problem because quarters dont gate the way she does, its really like riding a rocking chair down the road. There is however a swayback pad designed to go under your current pad to help fill those places http://www.statelinetack.com/item/cashel-shaped-western-swayback-cushion/E000863/.I dont know if it will link you may need to copy/paste. Hope this helps!
I tried using this pad one time and it has a lot of hair stuck in it. Am I supposed to be using a felt liner pad underneath?
JLee1968 on Oct 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I use this pad on two of my horses. I never use anything underneath it. The hair won't hurt it. All I do is spray it off good with a water hose. It typically dries over night in warm weather. We don't ride much in the cold winter months so usually just clean it good for the end of the season. I love these pads and I will purchase them again when needed. Happy Trails!
What is the best way to wash this pad? Also, is the pad a true red as pictured?
Jan F on Jun 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use a pressure washer... I hang the pad over a halter and do all 4 sides... lightly soak the pad in a soapy water for a few then hang and rinse...
I tried using this pad one time and it has a lot of hair stuck in it. Am I supposed to be using a felt liner pad underneath?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, the object of the tacky pad is to keep the saddle from slipping if you have that problem. I ride a 1/2 draft and 1/2 quarter. He doesn't have any withers and it keeps the saddle in place. I liked it so much that my husband got one. He doesn't have a problem with his saddle, just likes the pad. I take my brush and brush the pad off and about every 3 or 4th ride I hose it down a little. It depends how hairy your horse is when you get the hair. Our horses are pretty slick all year as we ride a lot. I hope this helps. It is a great pad. I thnk it is very comfy for the horses.
I tried using this pad one time and it has a lot of hair stuck in it. Am I supposed to be using a felt liner pad underneath?
A shopper on Oct 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No. The idea of this pad is primarily to prevent slippage of your saddle pad, and the "tacky" part of the pad holds the pad in place on the horse's back. I do not use this pad in the summer, as it gets very hot (since the tacky part is neoprene...imagine wearing a wetsuit in the middle of summer when you're not in the water!). My Arabian does NOT like this pad at all, as it appears to pull her hair and skin a bit. My QH loves it, and it does a great job keeping the saddle from slipping. It is very lightweight and EASY to clean...just hose off the hair on the tacky side...Hope this helps!! Happy Trails!!

BEST ANSWER: I love this pad. I don't use anything under it,I like that it's not felt and can be hosed off. I keep my horses body shaved, don't notice hair coming off. My mare occ has a skin issue on her back and she does best with this pad. I am thinking of buying another one myself. I have had this pad for about 6 months, used 6x/wk and still looks great too. Hope this helps...current/future buyers! ( guess I'm too late to help this person, sorry)!
What is the length and width?
