Product Summary:

RESCUE!® Big Bag Fly Trap

The RESCUE!® Big Bag Fly Trap catches flies in bulk and is simple to use. Use it around the barn and other outdoor areas with heavy fly concentration to get rid of them before they become a nuisance inside. Just add water and hang! When the trap is full, simply take it down, close the yellow top and throw the entire trap in the garbage.

This trap is baited for fly species that are most common in agricultural areas, including house flies, false stable flies, blow flies, blue and green bottle flies, flesh flies, face flies and many others. It contains a fast-acting fly attractant that starts working as soon as you add water. Food and feed additives are combined with other dried ingredients to make the RESCUE!® attractant. Lured by the scent, flies enter through the yellow top cap and drown in the water.

  • Designed to handle outdoor areas with heavy fly concentrations
  • Controls flies around barns, stables, and animal pens
  • Fast-acting powder attractant is contained within the trap itself
  • Attractant dissolves and activates quickly when water is added to the bag
  • Trap's design eliminates touching the bait or the flies
  • Completely disposable when full
  • Holds up to 40,000 flies
  • Made in the U.S.A.
Item Specifications:

Small: holds approximately 20,000 flies
Large: holds approximately 40,000 flies

These Fly Traps are extremely effective in the summer heat to eliminate flies in an outdoor area.
Amy B on Aug 8, 2018
It works. I have horses, steers, and dogs plus chickens and this stays out of the way of chickens. I change out weekly and less flies each year than any other product. I have tried many products and this is the best.
Madelon N on Aug 7, 2018
They work!
ANITA M on Aug 6, 2018
Because they work! I capture 10's of thousands of flies every year. I only hope that the company can find a way to lure more of the small biting flies. Best product out there! Sara Jane Johnson

Using these cheap traps to catch the flies that avoid the spray
George S on Jul 16, 2018
Have several now and they get full fast! I have to keep replacing them. When I see how many flies are in there it makes me think how lucky the horses are that they are not out biting them!

can i buy these in a case?
A shopper on Jul 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You can buy as many as you need. I order a dozen at a time. I put one up at the end of each run, one every 50 feet on corrals and one by the manure bin. They do stink, so be sure not to put them close to house or near where you congregate! I have a new batch coming this week. It will be the 3rd time I have put them up. Be sure you buy them fresh. One year I ordered some and they did not work. Turned out they sent me old ones. The company sent me a new batch at no charge! They are fantastic. The fly population is way down, compared to my neighbors where the flies are horrible. Sara Jane Johnson
can it be used indoors. Does it have an odor?
Archie J on Sep 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Wouldn't use it indoors because it does have an odor. That's how it works. It's stinky. I do have them hanging them in my barn and it's not that it's horribly smelly. It's when the wind catches it just right you get a whiff of it. However, when it fills up with dead flies it definitely smells bad so it's not something you want to look at or have near your face. I had hung one in a tree near my backporch and forgot I put it there. Every time I'd walk by I smelled a dead animal and thought my dogs had got a possum but then I saw the fly bag and realized that was the smell. So it doesn't flood the entire area with stinky odor. It depends on the wind conditions and you do have to be within 10 feet to smell it. Hope that helps.
what is the size difference between LG & Small wt. and lasting time?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The large is almost twice the size of the small. However, I didn't find the large to be as effective as the small bag. Somehow didn't seem to attract as many flies--maybe the chemical smelll wasn't as strong.
I'm thinking of getting a few of these for my horse pasture, but I just don't want my horses to chew on them. Has anyone ever had a problem with that?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would not recommend putting them where the horses can get to them. #1 - you never know what they will eat, and plastic can cause delayed problems like enteroliths and immediate problems like colic. #2 - Even if they only play with them, they will be really stinky if they get the stuff on them, and VERY attractive to flies. #3 - the guidance online says to put them at least 50 feet away from where you don't want flies. I would pay attention to prevalent wind patterns for your pasture and put them where the wind will blow the odor to the pasture, thus luring the flies out and away. In our area, prevalent wind is from the east in the am and west in the pm, so traps are out in both directions.
