I have two older horses that seemed to get stiff after work or running around the pasture. I was looking for a supplement that didn't cost an arm and a leg, and had good reviews.

can this product safely be used by humans?
Sharon D on Jan 5, 2015
Best Answer: I believe there are human grade MSM products out there and is good for humans. I would not use the MSM that is put out for horses or animals because there are strict laws regarding processing etc. i have found many human MSM products for sale on the internet.

How does this do for picky eaters?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2016
Best Answer: I also give my equin Biotin crumble. So what I do is mix that with the MSM in addition to a cup of horse chow. My guys eat it up with no issues. I think as long as you mask it in something they like to eat, you shouldn't have any issues. Hope this helps! Good luck!!

Would this be helpful for a gelding with ringbone?
Shelbywil on Feb 17, 2017
Best Answer: No. I have a mare with ringbone. Nothing helps but fusion ultimately. Bute is the best as medicine and 24 hour turnout and regular roll over trims. I ethyl alcohol fused my mates joint and now she is rideable. I have it online to see or contact me. I have dealt with ringbone and documented all my treatments success. Good luck

I feed Animed Aniflex Gl to my 32yr old Standardbred and he does very well on it. Would it be beneficial to feed MSM as well? Thanks, Denise Roy
Denise R on Jan 4, 2016
Best Answer: I feed my horse Tribute Essential K GC Plus which contains glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate and msm. When these supplements are combined the required dose of each is less than feeding them individually. That being said, I still supplement with additional msm due to the many benefits it provides.

Is it ok to feed MSM along with Cortaflex to my 34 yr old quarter horse?
cheryl p on May 1, 2017
Best Answer: Your horse needs 10000 units of MSM to be effective. I believe this is provided in the daily dosage. I believe Cortaflx is mainly glucosamine and condroitin sulfate with some yucca , devils claw and a minimal amount of MSM. If he were my horse I would be comfortable giving the MSM with the Cortaflex.
