I tend to trust time tested products. This is an oldie but a goodie. I'm basing this on experience and the verbal reports of others. I hope the formula NEVER changes.

Horrible case of scratches on 3 legs that I have been battling for more than a month. This is the ONLY product that actually has been able to clear it up and keep the areas cleared! I will be keeping a bottle on hand to nip this mess in the bud much sooner next time.

It's an effective treatment for dry rot and itchy mane and tail. Just be careful on really sunny days, it can burn.

For getting hair to grow back after skin problems and scrapes on horse with skin that scars easily. It has good reviews, in spite of the scent, so it must work for a lot of horses. Sulfur also repels some insects so it may have an added benefit besides hair growth.

This is the best stuff for rain-rot, itchy winter skin stuff, bug bites, manes and tail, you name it. Costs about $3.00 more per quart in the local feed and farm supply so State Lines price plus free shipping is a no-brainer. Can't go without this in the barn.

Will this help get rid of ear warts?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Please check with your horse's veterinarian. It would depend on what caused the warts, and also it is not recommended to use this product inside a body cavity such as inside the ears.

What is the best way to apply M-T-G???
Nikki on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I always just use the tip of the bottle and my hands, there are very detailed instructions on the bottle depending on what you are using it for. It's great stuff for many different things. If you are sensitive or don't want the smell on your hands you can use rubber gloves
How is MTG used/applied for tail growth? Is it massaged in, particularly on the tail bone area and left on? or rinsed? Is it safe to apply and leave a tail bag on the tail? Thanks for the helpl!
KRISTINE M on May 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Kristine,
First off I love this stuff. Beware a little goes a long way also. The way I use it is putting a few drops at the dock of the tail and massaging it in. The most crucial spots are where your seeing hair loss on the mane and tail. If I feel it needs a little extra help down the tail bone I will add a few more drops there also. You can use it as a detailer and leave on and in the bag. Once again you don't need much. I also put some on the forelock for extra growth. Just take a rag for your hands if you will be touching other things, it leaves behind residue. But other than that awesome stuff.
what are the ingredients?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Just look at the Product Labels on the right in the Product Summary. It says mineral oil, sulfur, zinc stearate, glycerin, cade oil.

Don't know what all that is, but it works to grow hair and gets rid of rain rot in a flash.
Does MTG work on ringworm?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don't think so as ringworm is a fungus... might be better of using something for treating athlete's foot or jock itch.
