I've been using this type of shedding blade for 45 yrs. It's 2 tools in 1, I open it up and use 2 hands for the shedding (it saves your shoulders) flip it over & you've got a water scraper for after baths or hose downs. As for me, I can't handle the circular motion that the standard curry comb requires.
This one will easily get that dried on mud off. I recon' it's a personal preference.
