I live in Indiana, it can get as low as -20. Will this help my horse? I will have him is his stall when it gets really cold.

BEST ANSWER: This is a 200g stable blanket which is considered a medium weight, suitable for 25-35 degree weather.
What kind of isolation is it? Is it very warm?

BEST ANSWER: It is 200g insulation, which is considered medium-weight warmth.
My horse is outside with a round bale feeder, and has access to shelter. I need a blanket to block the wind and rain, but I do not want the horse to get sweaty, would this be a good fit for me? I only blanket when it is below zero and /or winds below zero.

BEST ANSWER: Your situation is so different than mine I’m not sure if I can be helpful. I live in Florida so in the 30’s is as low as our temperatures get. I can’t imagine your horse would sweat in this blanket when it’s that cold. My horse doesn’t sweat in it even though it’s not that cold here.
Is this waterproof?
Samantha S on Jan 6, 2019
BEST ANSWER: no... We just had a stretch of cold weather... and its a nice snuggly jacket... but when it rained she was wet underneath... it seems water repellent to a point... but not a rain jacket for sure.

Other than that its been good
