Great riding halter
I bought this halter for my horse to wear under her bridle, with a second set of reins, for trail riding. It is lightweight, supple, and quite narrow, so it does not interfere with the fit of the bridle. It seems to be well-made; the material seems durable and tightly woven without being stiff. I've used it about five times so far and it seems to be holding up well. The reflective strands really stand out if they catch even a little bit of light. The end of the tassel is wrapped in string, not metal, so it won't hurt anything if it swings around. My mare has an average-sized and shaped head for a 15hh horse and the halter fits perfectly around the nose and through the throatlatch. I've been very please with my purchase and highly recommend it if you're looking for a riding halter for a finished horse.

Nice option
I liked the idea of a simple rope halter under my horses headstall for trail riding. It was nice to find one that was understated but could shine when needed. Purchased in black. Functions well.

I have a small quarter horse, he's 14.2h, will this fit or be to big?

BEST ANSWER: Like most string halters, it's completely adjustable. It fit both my long headed horse and a much smaller headed horse, both black and invisible at night. I've only used it while camping overnight, so that I can spot my horses with a flashlight. I was impressed.
