Wanted it for a Mini, but feel it is only suitable for a very skinny refined foal not suitable for Minis

Must have for babies in your barn
I had a late season foal (October) he was born when it was the mid 40's at night. I used this blanket for the first few days (until he started growing more fur and developing some fat) and also if the temperature dipped low suddenly. As a new born it barely fit, BUT the blanket has a large amount of "wiggle room" I suspect this blanket will still be able to be used on him until 5-6 months of age if needed. For as needed use... get it! If you're looking for something to be worn every night, get a few or keep looking.

Nice foal/mini blanket
I bought this stable blanket for a malnourished mini/pony mix yearling I rescued and he stayed nice and toasty. Is mildly water resistant, but don't advise letting out in the rain with it. Easy to clean, just throw in the washer. I'm sad because he has now outgrown the belly strap, so it can no longer be used here at my barn, but it was definitely a smart purchase on my part!

The quality of the blanket looks good on your ad and the price is very reasonable, also I like the adjustable front on the blanket.

How big does it adjust to? im adopting a 6month old foal so I want to be sure it will fit him.

BEST ANSWER: It depends on what kind of foal... I purchased it for my 3 month old appendix and it was way too short in the back on the small adjustments, and when you adjust the neck to make it long enough, it sat too far back on the wither/shoulder for my liking. The belly strap was also too small at the largest extension. It is a nicely made blanket but I would not suggest it for a 6 month old. I would check out the amigo on this site... it's $45 and comes in a wider range of sizes and is very adjustable. I found the 42 fits my three month old perfectly, so I would go up a couple sizes but they are quite adjustable!
