FOCUS HF Hoof provides 10mg of supplemental biotin per serving. This is many times more than is already synthesized naturally in the horse by intestinal microbes. [sic. 2007 Nutrient Requirements of Horses] Some research (funded by vitamin manufacturers) have suggested that very large quantities of a single vitamin (biotin), is beneficial to hoof quality. However, we feel that it should not be necessary to mega-dose an individual vitamin to foster a normal response. Indeed, our opinion is strengthened by the reports of so many horseman who have supplemented biotin (15mg to 40mg per day) without success. When they have changed to FOCUS HF, with its wealth of nutrients and micronutrients, they report the wonderfully healthy hooves, and skin and coat condition they've been seeking!

The only nutrient in SOURCE that needs evaluation when formulating a feed ration is iodine. (The levels of each of the other minerals and trace elements is so low that it will not imbalance any feed ration design).

SOURCE is a rich source of natural organic iodine. It is particularly useful for those who are seeking to increase iodine levels in a potentially deficient ration.

One of my horses developed white spots on his chestnut colored body. Someone suggested he had a copper deficiency. This was the most cost effective source of significant copper I found, so I tried it. His white spots are almost all gone now. As a plus, my farrier says his feet are great.

Do you offer a sample of this?

Best Answer: Sorry, I have no idea. You might want to check with the manufacturer. Other than palatibility, I don't know what you could learn until six to 12 weeks into it. It works but is light on some important ingredients. My horses eat it straight out of your hand
