Great brand; always like their line of gloves. These aren't just warm but are actually useful for riding.

I've heard great reviews about these gloves from other riders at my barn who have pairs. I currently have a pair of summer riding gloves by Heritage that I really like but they're not cutting it for our current cold and wet weather here in Oregon. I ride almost daily.
K H on Nov 29, 2018
I bought these for someone else who had a pair but the thumbs came apart.

I have been buying these for years for myself, my husband and friends for gifts, the best fitting most dexterous winter waterproof groves available.

Tina L on Jan 16, 2017
I needed warm gloves, and these fit the bill! They are not great for riding though, a bit bulky holding the reins. But they are good for stable chores and grooming.

I figured they would keep me warm during my first year in Wisconsin. We will see how they do. The fit is right and they seem like they would be warm!!!

I live in Eastern Washington State, and we've already had double digit below zero weather. I need a good riding glove that will keep my hands warm and have the flexibility to do the work. I know that SSG is a quality reputable brand. So far, I'm happy with this purchase.

I have used these gloves during the cold Colorado winters for several years. They are warm without bulkiness, and enable me to still have a good feel of the reins!

Do these gloves have grips on the palm and fingers?
L D on Oct 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, they don't. But they are pretty grippy. i have been using these gloves for at least 15 years. I wear them daily and they last me for at least one season in our Upstate New York winters. So comfortable, soft and durable.
Will these gloves fit men also?
A shopper on Nov 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Their fit runs very true to size...so I'd say whatever size a man would wear in women's sizes would fit him. I love mine...I have very small hands--I bought my usual size and they fit me perfectly. I love them.
are these training gloves bulky?
Joyce R on Nov 24, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They are a little bulky, but I do not find them overly cumbersome. The product photo looks pretty accurate for bulk. I am still able to manage clips and buckles and such while wearing them. They are fantastically warm and have held up really well. I use them for barn chores as well as riding.
Do sizes run big or small?
A shopper on Oct 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I find them to run true to size, but some factors like short or long fingers may play a part for some people.
Is the thinsulate lining only on the back of the glove?
Jan G on Jan 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, it is all the way around the hand. These are the best Winter gloves I have tried and I have been using them for more than 10 years. Usually I get two seasons out of a pair.
Which are warmer: the winter rancher gloves or the winter training gloves? Thanks
Kristine R on Feb 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Winter Training Gloves. Slightly looser fit with a good cuff. I do find them warmer and more flexible and comfortable than the Ranchers.
