Great winter gloves
I've never liked gloves in the winter because all the gloves I had tried weren't warm enough until I bought these gloves. They are warm, comfortable and provide good grip for riding.

Keeps hands fairly warm
I thought they would be too bulky to hole the reins but they are not. Keeps my hands fairly warm, but the temperature has not been below 40 this year.

Good winter gloves with dexterity
While searching for GOOD winter gloves, I read some recommendations about this product. I was skeptical, but purchased 2 sets of gloves to try; one for an employee, the other for me. So far, we are both impressed by the protection from the cold that they provide and the grippiness of the leather.I purchased size 7 and 8. I wear size 7 riding gloves. Sure enough, as others had commented, the size 7 was snug. Wearing the size 8, the layer of polar fleece stays nice and fluffed up allowing it to maintain a good layer of insulation and body heat. For riding with a single rein, they present no problem.Considering the quality, the price is appropriate. However, I'll wait for disounts before stocking up on more! :-)

I have bought these gloves before and they are great. My favourite work glove.

My fingers still get cold, but not as much as with other gloves.
The gloves are very nice, but I was born with cold hands. These are the best I've tried. A little thick, tho, for riding, especially doing dressage and jumping.

My hands will be nice and warm this winter.
My sister (who does not ride) tried them on and now she wants a pair. They make a great x-mas present.

great gloves!
This is the second pair of these gloves I've bought. The first pair lasted 5 years. I hope this pair lasts on long. They run true to size and are really warm. Maybe I should have ordered 2 pairs!

I needed warm gloves, and these fit the bill! They are not great for riding though, a bit bulky holding the reins. But they are good for stable chores and grooming.

I live in Eastern Washington State, and we've already had double digit below zero weather. I need a good riding glove that will keep my hands warm and have the flexibility to do the work. I know that SSG is a quality reputable brand. So far, I'm happy with this purchase.

I have used these gloves during the cold Colorado winters for several years. They are warm without bulkiness, and enable me to still have a good feel of the reins!

Do these gloves have grips on the palm and fingers?
L D on Oct 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, they don't. But they are pretty grippy. i have been using these gloves for at least 15 years. I wear them daily and they last me for at least one season in our Upstate New York winters. So comfortable, soft and durable.
Will these gloves fit men also?
A shopper on Nov 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Their fit runs very true to I'd say whatever size a man would wear in women's sizes would fit him. I love mine...I have very small hands--I bought my usual size and they fit me perfectly. I love them.
are these training gloves bulky?
Joyce R on Nov 24, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They are a little bulky, but I do not find them overly cumbersome. The product photo looks pretty accurate for bulk. I am still able to manage clips and buckles and such while wearing them. They are fantastically warm and have held up really well. I use them for barn chores as well as riding.
Is the thinsulate lining only on the back of the glove?
Jan G on Jan 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, it is all the way around the hand. These are the best Winter gloves I have tried and I have been using them for more than 10 years. Usually I get two seasons out of a pair.
