NOTE: Item received may look different as packaging has changed. Formulation is the same.

Item Specifications:

Size:
12-pack of single dose syringes

Dosage:
Administer as a single, oral dose of 3mg pyrantel base per pound of body weight. The syringe has four weight mark increments. Each weight mark indicates the recommended dose for 300 lb. of body weight.

Body Weight Range:
Up to 300 lb. = ¼ syringe
301 - 600 lb. = ½ syringe
601 - 900 lb. = ¾ syringe
901 - 1,200 lb. = 1 full syringe
Position screw-gauge over appropriate mark on plunger. Each ml contains 180mg pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate. For maximum control of parasitism, it is recommended that foals (2 - 8 months of age) be dosed every 4 weeks. To minimize the potential source of infection that the mare may pose to the foal, the mare should be treated 1 month prior to anticipate foaling date followed by retreatment 10 days to 2 weeks after birth of foal. Horses and ponies over 8 months of age should be routinely dosed every 6 weeks. It is recommended that severely debilitated animals not be treated with this preparation.

Caution:
Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism. Not for use in horses intended for food. Keep out of reach of children. For oral use only. Store at controlled room temperature 59º-86ºF.

Indications for Use:
For the removal and control of mature infections of large strongyles (Strongyles vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus); small strongyles; pinworms (Oxyuris equi); and large roundworms (Parascaris equorum) in horses and ponies.

Net Weight per Syringe:
20mL (23.6g)

Tube Dimensions:
Total length approximately 8"; syringe tip 1½" L

Strongid Paste
After struggling with my horses after a bad worming experience my friend told me to mix it in with the horses grain. They had no clue it was in with the grain and that solved my worming problem.

It's on my list of rotational wormers. I keep my horses on a strict schedule for worming. It clearly makes a difference in their performance when used in combination with other wormers.

Need it for our horses, like to buy ahead of time so I don't forget to give it on schedule. We live in an area with tapeworms and 1 horse had colic surgery. Vet recommended Strongid to get rid of tapeworms. It's way cheaper to give Strongid than pay for surgery.
