recommendation by a friend, seems to be a good price
christine d on Dec 26, 2018
I have a super sweet Quarter Horse and I have friends that like to ride him. I don't want him bonked on the mouth so this is a perfect solution. I can ride him bareback with just a rope around his neck so he is worth his weight in gold!

I am going to try this and the Mustang nylon bitless bridle to see what I like the best.

I have wanted a bitless bridle and liked the reviews
Jane P on Sep 29, 2015
My horse hates her bit and her fussing causes a spiral in our communication. She has a sensitive mouth as well. I have looked at several bitless bridles and found this one very attractive and agreeable. Also, I like that it does not add any chin or lower jaw pressure. Can't wait to try it!
Jessica Nicole L on Feb 12, 2015
Ordered the Western-looking bridle with the rope noseband and it was just too harsh. This bridle looks better and should be better quality.

Would this side pull fit an arab or smaller q-horse?
Brenda J on Mar 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: We were so excited to find this for my daughter's Half-Welsh/Half Quarter Horse, unfortunately, it did not fit. He's about 14.2 hands and probably weighs 900 pounds and generally wears Cob size equipment really well. The quality of the leather was great and if it had come in Cob size we would have been thrilled. Hope you find something that works.
Can blinders be incorporated into this bridle?
Jeff S on Feb 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I. bought this same item last month...but due to the weather am not doing much outdoors. I don't have a clue whether blinders can be used or not. I have never used blinders. I bought a western side pull also and my goal is to test it out on therapy horses as a "kinder" apparatus for riders who tend to be very heavy handed. My hope is that they can actually learn how to direct their horse in a more effective way. Sorry I don't have a link of knowledge in working with blinders. Good luck to you.... Rosie.
can you add a hackamore (with no bit to this bridle)?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'll probably make a very simple answer quite complicated. First of all, this "bridle" is similar to a hackamore because it does place pressure on nose band while reins are being pulled...I do place fleece padding across nose band when I ride. The bridle, itself doesn't come apart...the reins come off, the chin strap comes off and the headstall is removable, but the nose band and "V" components connected to rings do not come apart...I don't think you could jerry-rig a hackamore onto this. There are other bitless bridle headstalls that allow for bits to be added...this is not one of them. With all that said, I rode an OTTB with this for over a year, and he loved it. Hopefully, this gives you some insight into this bridle. Marie Gibson
How does it work? I see it applies pressure to the top of the nose, any other mechanics?
dani t on Apr 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No other mechanics. The rains attach near the mouth like they do with a bit. I really like it. I use them on lesson horses so new riders are not pulling on the bit.
If a horse is strong and trained English it can be harder to get a half hault and a stop. I like it much better then any of the riding halters.
How dark is it? I am planning on getting a light-ish brown all purpose english saddle and it would really bug me if they shades were very different. I know this is a weird question. Also, will this last me long and is it real leather?
Jadyn on Jul 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Tory English Bridle Leather Nose Side Pull is a very dark and rich brown. It is slightly darker than the picture, so I don't know how well it will look with light-brown saddle. It is real leather, and so far has lasted well for me. I bought this head piece about a year ago and it still looks and works great. A little stiff in the beginning, but it bends to horse's head very well.
what colour is leather !?
A shopper on May 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I returned this product because it was too small for my draft, but I recall that it was a dark brown.
Can this sidepull be adjusted to fit an Arabian?
Helen F on Oct 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Short answer is no. It is probably possible to make it work, instead I purchased a western style sidepull here
at state line and only had to punch more holes.both are leather noseband and function is similar. Both are of
good quality.
Will this help horses that snatch reins when in a snaffle bit?
Mary W on Oct 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not too sure about that one. I use it on my OTTB that I resuced from slaughter. For whatever reason he really hates having anythign in his mouth and he will throw his head and actually start to gag. He is a really mild horse that responds much better with leg and seat contact than anything with the reins. This bridle exherts minmal pressure on the nose and poll becuase of how it is made.
Should the noseband on this bridle be fitted as tightly as a regular noseband on a bitted bridle?
Garcia on Mar 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The correct answer to your question is NO, the noseband is NOT supposed to be tight. That would defeat the purpose of how a bitless bridle works. It should be loose enough that you can get at least three fingers in behind the chin strap. The person who answered that it should be tight is wrong - please do not do this to your horse. There should be release from pressure when you are not giving your horse a cue through the reins/bridle. If it is tight, this is impossible. Don't have the noseband too low on your horses nose (this will restrict breathing when you pull on the reins and cause head tossing, and do not make the noseband tight - make sure you can get at least three fingers in behind the chin strap.
Would this fit my Quarter horse X Arabian?
A shopper on Mar 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It might fit your horse. It was a terrible fit for my sort of block headed Fell. The cheek peices were setting nearly on top of his eyes. I had to return this. I think the brow band makes the fit on the narrow end, not good for broad forehead horses.
can i order this in a small pony size? or do you carry a side pull for welsh pony?
SANDY on Feb 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately the side pulls we carry are all average-horse size. We do offer a couple pony-sized hackamores if that might be an option for you? Here are the links:

Will this fit a 16 hand thoroughbred?
Gigi H on Jan 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Bridle was built with a long head in mind. Too long for most Arabs. Might be a very good fit on your horse.
Are reins included, is so how long are they?
IML12345 on Jun 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: i bought mine two years ago, and it came with reins...standard length (6'??). English reins...so there's a buckle. I like it--however, seems to work better on some horses than others.
Can the brow band be changed?
Sidney A on Jan 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: If you unbuckle both cheek pieces & the throatlatch from the rest of the bridle, then yes, the browband can be slid right off and a different one put on.
Are there any measurements of sizing please?
j T on Feb 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Measurements:
Browband: 16"
From rein ring up over the poll to rein ring on other side: longest 49", shortest 40"
Throat latch from split at brow to split on other side: longest 28½", shortest 24½"
Noseband across from rein ring to rein ring: 13½" with adjustable jaw strap
is leather available in black?
