Should last forever
This strap is thick!! Not real flexible. Should last forever.
Decent purchase for the price
Good deal for the price, it's a little thin but has been holding up decently.
I conditioned it multiple times before I started riding with it. I like the tapered edge & it just so happens to match my Burgundy & black saddle which is a nice bonus.

Tie strap
This .leather latigo is the perfect tie strap for my saddle. It matches and is soft leather for easy tying.

Very nice leather
Very good quality leather. Very thick but not too stiff. Should take oil nicely.
Very poor quality.
The latigo I received was not usable. It was a full 8 inches shorter than the advertised 6 feet, and that was unfolded. The leather was too thin and of very poor quality. Oiling did not help...leather is still stiff and feels brittle. On top of that, there was a shallow cut across the latigo about 6 inches from the tail end, which pretty much renders this latigo unusable. Even if the cut was not there, I could not recommend this latigo as a reliable means to safely keep you and your saddle on the horse.

I recondition saddles & always use the Tory Latigo Leather tie straps to complete the saddles. These do have some stretch, as they should . Latigo tends to be oily , so no need to oil before first use. Over time, they will need oil. They are quality straps @ a fair price & very important, they are made in the USA. For safety's sake, don't but a cheap latigo tie. or billet. Both items hold your saddle & you on your horse.

Extremely disappointed in this latigo
Bought 5 of these latigo's. They say they're leather but it's really hard to tell. The thickness is lacking. They stretch when used and it is hard to keep the cinch tight. Would not recommend this product.

I've ordered Tory latigos in the past with no issues, but ended up sending this one back. Other reviewers commented that the dye rubbed off on their clothes and/or horse and pad. Since I'd purchased previously and been satisfied, I decided to order anyway. The one I received didn't live up to the previous items' quality as far as the leather was concerned - very stiff, thick and heavy, and it also seemed short. I didn't even attempt to use it.
