Wanted something shorter than some of the other lunge whips I've had to use so it's not as awkward to handle. Also liked the price compared to other sellers. Excited to see it when it does show up.

This stick is good, but a little heavier than I expected.
Flavyn M on Nov 20, 2014
performs the same as the expensive ones.
Kim B on Sep 26, 2014
Recommended by my clinician, and I liked her stick. It's not too heavy and the blue will match my training lead : ). You can't do Natural Horsemanship without one, and none of the stores in my area carry anything like it.
Elizabeth S on Sep 2, 2014
Seems like it should fit my basic training needs. Liked the price and fun color for something I'm just trying out!
Angie on Jul 23, 2014
It is comparable to the whip sold by training clinicians and is much less expensive.

Does the string detach?
A shopper on May 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does. It has a loop on one end of the string and also a loop on the end of the stick. The string goes through the stick loop and then feed it through it's own loop. Very quick and easy. I've used mine for a couple of years now and it's held up great. It's the only whip I use anymore. For training, lunging, everything.
Is this he same as a lunge whip? I am looking for a good lunge whip, is this a good one? If not, which one do you recommend that is NOT $40-50?
Babysittinghorsegirl . on Jan 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It is not a lunge whip. It is a stick and string that can be used for lunging and ground work. It has a different feel then a lunge whip. A lunge whip is longer and the end is flimsey usually breaks quicker then a stick and string. People who do natural horsemanship use a stick and string. I used to lunge with a lunge whip and the more I used the Clinician stick I fell in love with it. The reason clinician sticks cost more is because they last longer and are more durable. If you go on youtube and look up natural horsemanship you will see people training horses with a clinician stick. It may be for you and it may not. It is a personal preference thing. Both the lunge whip and the clinician stick are tools for lunging horses. Hope this helps. Jahnel Warner
I'm looking for a lung whip but they all seem too long. Would this work well for a lunge whip? Does it "pop" or "snap" when you flick it??
Jody B on Sep 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is the type of stick that Clinton Anderson and Pat Parelli use. The only flexible part is the rope which attaches to the end of the stick. It stick reaches out 4 feet extending the reach of your arm, then the rope begins. I use it for lunging. It is heavier than a standard lunge whip, and you need to engage your whole arm to swing it or pop it, it usually does not make a popping noise. I love mine, it is lighter than the Parelli stick, versatile with or without the rope attached. I use it on the ground and in the saddle. Good luck.
Is this the same one as clinton Anderson?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Minus his brand, yes. Nice handle, leather popper & leather loop. String is removable!
