Product Summary:

Tough-1 Cotton Long Driving Reins

Extra long with durable cotton webbing, these lines feature a sure grip handhold and rugged reinforced snap ends.  They are partially rounded to allow easy use of the surcingle.  Lines measure 24' total length with the first 4' on each side rounded so they will work with an overcheck bridle and the last 4' with leather ends for better grip and control.

Comes with a metal buckles in the middle so that they can be used as either a continuous or a split rein.  Excellent for teaching a young horse to drive.

Basic groundwork equipment for starting a pony to drive. Cotton is less likely to slip in my hands.

I needed it for the training of one horse to drive at this time. I could improvise but the cost would be about the same.

This seemed to be the best deal for the price and will allow for it to be replaced easily should it not work out. It will suit my needs and limited use perfectly.

I am looking at item #BOA10. Are these lines 24' each? Are they sold in pears?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They're 24 feet in total length, sold in a pair. So each line is 12 feet long, a little short unless you have a pony or a small weaning you're working with.
Are these lines sold in pears?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Essentially what you get is two long lines with a snap on one end of each. The two lines then can be attached to one another by a buckle. If you look at the picture you can kinda see where the lead can be divided into two separate lines and maybe considered a "pair".
are these specifically for miniature horses?
erica on May 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I bought mine for 17hh TB cross. They are of average length. I can clip them together to make one line for traditional lunge line exercuses.
I am looking at item #BOA10. Are these lines 24" each? Are they sold in pears?
brandon l on Dec 1, 2014
BEST ANSWER: These are not long lines. They are driving lines so they are only 12 feet each side. I use them when I am working on ground driving. They are long enough to walk behind my ponies but I'm not sure how much room they would leave for a bigger horse. They are not as long as long lines but they are easier to manage in your hands, not as easy to get tangled up in if you are working a young inexperienced horse, and a good transition from lunging to more advanced work.
Just how long are the long lines? How long is the whip? Thanks Pat C.

BEST ANSWER: The product descriptions show that the whip comes in a 53" length, and that the lines measure 24' total length with the first 4' on each side rounded so they will work with an overcheck bridle and the last 4' with leather ends for better grip and control.
