product not for horses that have not been hobbled before
I bought 3 pair. When I put the hobbles on the horses for the first time they struggled against them, because they had never been hobbled before. The leather is too light and of poor quality to withstand any struggle. The tongue of the buckle tore through the leather almost immediately on all three pairs. The first two horses quit struggling after that and I was able to continue to use those two as they still had holes that had not been torn out. The third horse tore them at every hole and rendered that hobble set useless. They are price low and if your horse is broke to hobbles and will not struggle when they are attached you can buy these and be satisfied. If your horse has not been hobbled before don't waste your money.

Are these hobbles easy for a horse to get out of?
A shopper on Mar 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depends on the horse. I wouldn't put these on a horse that has never been hobbled before but if they know the drill, these work just fine. I have a pair of these and a pair that's a little more sturdy and i have had green horses even get out of my sturdier ones.
