Husband has taken interest in riding and wants to be able to carry items

It's an appropriate accessory when going to the race track or just to carry items that normally make pockets bulge, such as keys, wallets, and digital devices.

Which direction are these saddle bags supposed to go on the horn? With the bags pointed towards the horses head or the riders legs? I'm thinking the horses head because towards the riders legs I don't believe would work so well. But, I would like to confirm my way of thinking. Thanks

BEST ANSWER: When you place the center hole of the bags over the saddle horn, make sure the rounded outer end is pointed toward tail end of horse. The bags on each side of neck will slant toward your horse's shoulder.
