What size is the hole that restricts their grass consumption? It looks almost twice as large as the regular Tough 1 or Best Friend grazing muzzles. Can you provide the hole size for these muzzles? Need maximum grass restriction but like the easy breathe feature.

BEST ANSWER: The Easy Breathe muzzle has a vertical rectangular hole approximately 2" long and 1.25" wide. The other two have circular holes approximately 1.25" in diameter.
I personally much prefer the Easy Breathe. Since the hole is vertical and the horse's lips are horizontal, it really restricts intake, plus the nostril cut-outs not only allow the horse to breathe better, but (I feel) encourage them to keep drinking, which I have found to be a problem with the more closed-in muzzles.
Does this muzzle have a break-away feature in case horse gets it caught on simething?

BEST ANSWER: The headstall closes with velcro and it breaks apart even when taped over with gorilla tape. One of my horses got the ring caught and pulled the whole works off his head when he pulled back. I don't think it is as safe as other brands that have a specific breakaway feature but it does come apart. I now remove that ring on the bottom. I also modify it by cutting out bigger holes for breathing. I have used this muzzle for years, works great for my horses, with modifications.
