Didn't work for me
I thought that this would be a great way to support growing out my mare's tail but it hasn't helped much. I find it sort of awkward to use because her tail isn't very think so there is a LOT of fabric. It is also slippery, so the braid is funky. It also ends up being heavy, which raises some concerns about how protective it is. Maybe it's the product? Maybe it''s my mare? Just didn't work for me.

Great Tail Wrap
I like the material, and it gives you plenty of length to work with. My only wish is that it would have come with a tool to pull the tail through the tubes. Over all, great product!

Tail bags just fall out within hours of putting them on my horses tail. These braided bags protect and stay in so much better.

How do you get this to stay in at the top?
Johanna F on Jan 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: After you braid it split the hair in half above and tie the top pieces through that hair.
Exactly how long is this from top to bottom?
Grace E on Aug 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Grace, I don't have a measurement exactly, but I used it in my 16.3/17hh draft cross and it was too long. I used it in the winter to try to keep her long white tail out of the mud, but it would drag in the mud and then freeze and it would collect little frozen mud balls on the bottom. I stopped using it. Its a nice tail bag, just too long in my opinion. Maybe if you are crafty, you could cut the bottom a bit and adjust it to be about 4-6 inches shorter.
could this be used to stop a tail chewing yearling? appreciate any other suggestions!
don v on Jun 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Most likely not. Depends on if your yearling will also chew on lycra.
