To teach my pony to drive. I believe that she has had some experience in driving in the past, so I plan to add ground driving to our list of fun things to do!

At very beginning stages of driving training for my pony. I didn't need a full harness yet, just enough to get started with groundwork. I will invest in a quality harness down the road.

like the neoprene, however it does not have rollers on the buckles, so it is not easy to tighten on the horse. would not purchase this product again.
Sheila G on Aug 13, 2017
Sturdy construction that holds up to everyday use. Quick wipe down with a damp cloth keeps the neoprene underside clean. Does not slip on the horse. The sizing on the band is generous enough to fit everything from 14hh to a 17hh draft. Easily paired with a baby pad to relieve pressure for high withered horses. Lots of attachment rings for choice in training. I've long-lined in this and the rings are wide enough to allow generous give for the rein and a sympathetic hand.

I am training a young horse, starting from the basics as she shys so much. I only need it for this one horse, so, hopefully, the reviews are trustworthy.

I have a petite arabian that's 14.2 hands with a 40" cinch size. Any idea if I should get pony or horse size?
May S on Apr 2, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Circumference:
Horse: 52" - 81"
Pony: 52" - 72"
I don’t understand the measurements given in description as the circumference. I have measured the smallest adjustment inside and it will only go down to 64” rather than 52”. I would like staff to explain how it is measured. Would the mini surcingle that states 42” as smallest fit for 58” circumference at girth? This one is too large, and the pony one stayed the same 52” as smallest adjustment, it is confusing.

Is there a difference in the saddle size between the two sizes, or is it just the length of the billets that's different?
Stacey P on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes the saddle sizes are actually different.
My horses averge 14 to 15 hands. What size, horse or pony?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The pony size surcingle would not fit a 14-15 hand horse. I used it on a one year old filly for long line training. Now that she is two, it's way too small. It's for ponies.
would this fit a 17hh horse?
reagan h on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: height doesnt matter, its all about the girth/barrel size of the horse. fits my 16hh curly mare as well as my 14.2hh fjord horse with no problems
What is Size of rings?
A shopper on Nov 20, 2016

what is the minimum circumference on the horse size?

Will this fit a chubby mini with a 58" girth? Thanks :)
Mary R. on Jan 21, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Hi Mary,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, had to find a day it wasn't below 0 and without 50 to 60 mph wind gusts. So ready for spring!!!!

I measured mine and at the smallest hole settings it measured 65 inches, so I do not thing it will go small enough for 58". It does have some space to punch extra holes, but still don't think it will go small enough.

Maybe they make this in a pony size. I love mine. I use it often for ground driving and it has held up very well!
