Size and comfort for my short backed Chincoteague Pony. I like the color choices as I also need Lime green for the month of May which is Lyme Disease awareness month. Price is reasonable too!

I was looking for a saddle pad that wouldn't slip for my husband, who is just learning to ride. This pad had very good reviews and feedback.

My saddle horse has defined whithers which causes her flat-top blanket to slide all over. This style blanket is made specifically for horses of her type and provides a better fit for her saddle.

My horse has a short back and very low withers. Has anyone with a similar horse used this pad?
April L on Dec 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The mare we use this on is a very small horse(14hh). The saddle is 14.5" and the pad is a good fit for the saddle and small horse.
Hi i considered getting 2 of these pads one for my high withered tb and the other for a about 14hh mustang but I'm questioning if it would fit them how would you say they fit small horses and high withered horses?
Destiny S on May 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Triple E Cordura Square Trail Pad is absolutely fantastic for high withered horses. I bought this blanket for my Saddlehorse who has a pronounced wither and it stopped the saddle from moving. Also the material of the side that rests on their back does not pull the horse's hair like other pads and blankets. It works for shorter (smaller) backs too. As far as for a smaller horse, if the horse has a pronounced wither it will fit perfectly. I am not sure how it will fit if the horse does not have a high wither since this pad is designed for a high wither. You might have a gap space or the blanket might not sit right simply because of its cut and shape.
My horse is very tall almost 16 hands. Would this saddle pad still fit her ok?
Grace on Mar 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I really like my saddle pad . My horse is 14 hands and it fit a little better than the larger ones that were clear past her hips . My saddle is a dropped rigging saddle and the pad still works just fine , however , there is not much sticking out from under the saddle, so I have to be careful with the saddle placement . If I had a bigger horse , it would work , but a bigger pad is easier to just throw the saddle on and go .(I do use it on my other larger horses as well )
is this pad good enough to be used under the saddle by its self?
A shopper on Sep 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I use this pad alone under the saddle. It seems to be sufficient, the horse seems to be happy and the saddle and blanket stay in place for a comfortable ride. This is a great pad at a good price.
How thick is this pad?
Maddie K on Apr 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The pad is probably 3/4 inch thick. It is neoprene underneath so it is very easy to clean and breathes better than the fleece type. It grips well and doesn't slip. A great pad for the price. It is about 6 months old and wearing well
I have never bought a saddle pad online before for my quarter horses what should I look out for?
Belle on Mar 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This pad may not be best for a quarter horse, as it has a lot of room for high withers. A lot of quarter horses have more rounded withers, but obviously you know your horse best. These pads are AWESOME though. I will say that. Just look at your horse's shape. If he/she has low, rounded withers, this pad may fit a little funny. Works great on my Tennesee Walker. I have several of these pads in different colors.
what does the underside look like?
A shopper on Dec 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is the same underside as a reinsmen tacky two pad . The biggest difference between them is this pad is much smaller . I bought it for a small quarter horse . Works great but you do have to watch to make sure your saddle is place completely on the pad . The bigger ones are easier to just throw the saddle on and forget about placement .
Non the less , I really like it . It stsys in place well and does cover the saddle area and still not so big as to go past her hips . And the color is amazing . Very true to the pics online . Hope this helps
Does this pad have enough contour that it doesn't sit on the withers?
Maddie K on Apr 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Not for my horse. I have a high-withered American Spotted Saddle Horse and this pad still sits slightly on her withers. Must be careful what saddle you put with this!
What is the size of this pad?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 30X30
