Seemed great - too small for my daughter
My daughter is between a 4 and 4.5, so I tried these since they seemed great, but they were too tight in the heel so we had to send them back. She really liked them though and would have like to keep them if they fit. We're moving on to women's sizes now unfortunately.

Great boot for the money!
My granddaughter really likes her new boots. The only problem that we encountered is that the boots seem a little too tall for her leg...they hit the back of her leg just above the back of the knee. We are going to take her to a store that sells adult boots and have the person who works there check the height of them. We are hoping that she can advise us. I hope that we will not have to return them. They really are well made and will hold up very well.

Excellent I totally recommend these boots!
I just got these boots for my birthday and I love them! They arrived very quickly, and they're an easy break in. Very comfortable boots in riding the padding at the bottom is just great, the only issue I have is that the boots are a little to high but I can deal with that! Great if you don't want to spend a lot of money on tall boots while your feet are still growing!100% recommend!

First pair great, this pair is being returned
We are on our 3rd pair of these boots. They fit really well and are very comfortable. The first two pair lasted a very long time with at least twice a week wear and most weeks much more than that. Sadly, this pair was worn 3 times and the zipper has broken already. We will be returning them. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident, so we will update our review based on our replacements.

Durable but too tall
My daughter had the size 1 last year which fit perfect. They worked great for lessons and schooling and cleaned up perfectly for shows. Bought the next size bigger last month. Foot size was not much larger but the height of the boot was too tall over her knee. Returned which cost $30 in shipping!! Great boot but be careful on sizing.

My daughter is very petite at age 20yr, she wears a children's size shoe/boot. She purchased these boots almost 2yrs ago and loves them. They did not take any break in time and they hold up very well but she is lazy and does not clean them very often. She has decide to use the first pair for schooling and wanted a new pair for shows.

These are great value for fast growing kiddos. Great look easily broken in and inexpensive, but still look nice enough for show ring.

Will these fit a women's size 5?
A shopper on Nov 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: A women's size 5 would be the equivalent of a child's size 3. The height and calf measurements would need to be taken into consideration as well.

Is the toe steel?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't think so. My daughter only wore these to show. She would wear higher quality leather paddock boots for lessons. These held up nice for showing. She grew out of them and they still look brand new.
Looking for boots for my daughter who is 11 years old. Her shoe size is about a womens size seven. What size would that be in this boot? (This is our first set of English boots) Thanks
Dion J on Dec 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The women's sizing conversion to children's should be a -2. Therefore, your daughter should be a size 5 (7-2=5) in this boot.

This boot is sufficient for it's price point but the pulls on the zipper fell off after a couple of weeks (the zipper still worked though) and the bottom snaps fell off soon after that (though it did not impact the boot's function).
What size boot should I get if my regular tennis shoe size is a 5? I think that is a kids size 5. :)
A shopper on Feb 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I generally tell the parents of the kids I teach to buy 1 size up from their foot size. That goes for me too. My foot size is 6 1/2US Womens and I buy 7 1/2 in boots. I wear my boots for several hours so I personally find having some toe wiggle room plus socks helps keep my comfort level. The 7 fits fine, I just prefer a full size over. So try the 6 and see how it feels.
What kind of socks do you recommend with these boots?

Anna R. on Jan 17, 2014
BEST ANSWER: My daughter has worn regular tub stocks but she also wears her riding socks that we also ordered from state line. I think whatever are comfortable for you since they cant be seen. The one thing that i would recommend you get some foot spray or some kind of spray because after sweating in them for a long period the boots begin smell very bad. The boots have held up well, we have only had to buy new shoe strings because the elastic didn't last.
My 8 year old wears size 4 shoes. What size do you recommend in these boots? 4 or 5?
A shopper on Oct 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would get the size 5. With thicker socks we found the boots to be somewhat tight. We outgrew the boots before the year ended. They were nice for beginners.
Are these good for summer and winter?
A shopper on Mar 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These boots are excellent
My daughter is rough on them, and held up more than a year, needed to resell, needed the next size up. You can wear toe warmers if your feet get cold.
My daughter has very slim legs and her calf is very thin. She wears a ladies 5 - 5 1/2. Would these be slim enough?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: My granddaughter was just turning 10 when I bought these boots for her. They fit perfect right out of the box and she has very thin calf muscle on the right leg due to a disability,
what size should I get for a boy size 4 1/2 wide?
Beverly M on Mar 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: i like them alot. they are very sharp looking and easy to break in . In order to get the right size you need to measure the height of his calf from ankle to bottom of knee and the circumfrence of his calf also, the best part is that they do not cost you a bunch for a sharp pair of tall riding boots.
I have a daughter who wears a size 12 in toddler shoes. Would she be able to fit into the size 12SR boot for this particular boot?
Taska L on Dec 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's really best to try these boots on the child! My son fit the shoe size but the calf of the boot was too long for him!
My daughter is a size 3 shoe. Does your boot size 3SR correspond with her shoe size?
A shopper on Dec 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I always buy boots one size larger just for extra room. I bought the size 3 when my daughter was in a size 1/2 shoe and they fit her fine and have lasted over a year as her feet grew. She only wore them in shows not practicing.
How tall are they?
A shopper on Nov 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: My daughter has the Baroque boots in a 4 and think they are similar in height. I just measured from heel to the highest point and they are 19 inches. Hope that helps!
Are these grippy and secure?
kim b on Nov 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My daughter is just starting to outgrow hers, and I’ll be ordering her a second pair. They give her a very secure ride, and she loves them. No break-in period. She rides 2-3 times per week, and rides hunter.
My daughter wears an US size 2 in tennis shoes. What size would she need? She is slim
A shopper on Nov 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would say go down a size. My daughter wears a 5/6 shoe size, and the 4 in these fit her perfectly.
what does 5sr mean?
A shopper on Sep 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 5SR = Size 5 Slim,Regular.

I am a size 6.5 in women's for paddock boots but the 12SR fit height and width wise would 12SR fit toe wise?
Reese K on May 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A women's size 6.5 is equivalent to a child's size 5.
i wear a 5.5 b ladies in justin lacers what size do i need ?
ruti s on Oct 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These childrens boots go up to size 5 only. You may wish to consider the TuffRider Ladies Starter Field Boots (item E002422) which start at size 6. Some Customers tell me these run about a half size small, so perhaps they might work for you instead?
